Yeah it was a photo one, where all the entries are displayed.
It was a strike a pose, win a wii competition, I'm sure if you search you should find it.
I understand it's their competition so they can do as they like, but surely they could carry on stretching the deadline out for ages, and even change the prize if they liked? :rolleyes:0 -
What do compers think of this?
Is it possible for posters of comps to indicate when posting an answer to a comp whether or not it is a multiple choice.
I find that if there's a difficult name to remember I repeat it over and over to myself in my head, only to find it there already and I only have to click on the "radio" button next to the answer. On other occasions I don't think I have to remember it only to get to the comp page and have to go back and check the spelling or whatever (usually after I've closed the MSE page - doh).
Does anyone think this is a good idea and, if so, how it could be implemented.
Regards

I don't really see the point. I have MSE open, click the link, it opens a new tab, if I need to switch, it's just a matter of clicking on the MSE or competition tab.
Plus I don't think you'll get people to do it.
sorry but i agree with Al Mac as i cant see the pointThoughts:

Nah - sorry don't see the point, obviously people work differently, but I don't close the mse page - until I've submitted (just in case I need to check something) or if you need to - if it's really tricky - then C&P the answer.Jo x2007:£5181.09 2008: £6619.70 2009: £4284.49 2010: £5213.14 2011: £4980.62 2012: £3188.52

Good morning compers
I've had an idea that I'm going to have a go at doing. I thought of it when I needed some new mascara but then I won some.
The idea is, starting in the new year, that when I win something that I would have bought anyway that I would make a contribution to a savings pot, not for what the prize is worth but what it's worth to me then perhaps halved.
Example. If I need a mascara and I was going to buy one but I win one then I'd stick £3 in the savings pot. If I won some shampoo and conditioner which I would have needed to buy anyway I'd stick perhaps £2 in the pot. If I win a DVD then I'd stick the local rental cost in say £2. If I win booze and I keep it then again, stick a proportion of that in too, say £5 for spirits £2 for wine. T-towels might be 50p each.
I'm not sure what i'd do with any bigger wins. Maybe a weekend away would be say £20, I know this isn't a lot but it's not like I'd be having a weekend away unless I won one. Same with gig tickets.
I'm trying to find a balance between getting treats from winning prizes but also by putting the money that getting prizes has saved me to good use somehow. I'm aiming to go some way towards paying for next Christmas.0 -

I don't mind at all. I mentioned it in here to see if it would help anyone else out.
I don't know how far it'll get me but any help at Christmas is more than welcome as far as i'm concerned. I was thinking of mentioning any saving pot cash in the what have you won this month thread but I'll have to not look back as I want it to be a bit of a surprise when I diddle it up at the end of the year too.
I think it's all the bits and bats that'll make a difference totted up. I needed some sellotape to wrap the pressies but I got some in the post this morning so that's saved me a quid, a pound won't make a huge difference to me just kept in my purse but squirreled away in a jar for 12 months it might.0 -

I just click between comp and mse tabs aswell. This works for me even with the comps which have a lot of answers to remember eg. Take a Break. I never close mse page before I have completed the comp and thanked and subscribed to OP.0
