I was wondering, what do people think of myoffers.co.uk?
I got an advert for it on my msn and there are loads of competitions but I was just wondering if people think it's safe to put my address? And that they won't send me a load of junk mail?
Thanks in advance
found this handy to read ....

10 Are there any sites, from experience, which are likely to generate lots of spam?
There are a few which have come to our collective attention as sites that, when used for comps, seem to generate lots of unwanted postal, email & phone call attention. These are listed below for your information, however, please do remember that this is only the collective opinion of other MSE Compers & does not necessarily reflect upon the sites themselves.

I'm assuming I'm not going to get a follow up to say I've won
I know I'm not the best at sorting out all my emails, but flipping heck!!! :rolleyes:0 -
Hi
Have been comping on n off for a few weeks now, and thought I would put all my questions in 1 place.....hopefully this is the right one
1 - Should I enter comps from regional websites?
eg - i often see comps on here for Sheffield star, or Scottish record. I live in the south of england, can I still win?
2 - Are all the GMTV comps - max of 5 entries. I know the big goldenballs / real deal are but when there is say a camera or a TV
3 - can me and my hubby enter same comp. Some T's and C's say 1 per household , but when it says 1 per person is it safe to go for it?
4 - is it true some sites wont let you win for 6 months after a win....if so, which ones, I can save some time
5 - Empire comps never confirm entry - should they. if so, its not working and I can save somemore time
6 - when asked for daytime tel number should I give landline / mobile or neither?
7 - can I have a link to dodgy comp companies.....and if they are dodgy when folk post them on here, should we follow up with a reply poitning out the 'reputation' of the competiiton company
8 - if I win a prize like a holiday / weekend trip in london etc etc, do you know if I will have to go, or whether I could give to my mum or sister - both of whom have different surnames (appreciate answer will be general rather thna specefic)
Meanwhile THANK YOU to all the comp posters on here

Competition sites are growing at an amazing rate, until recently I didn't realise such a thing existed; but a whole world of web sites are out there hosting the details of many thousand on-line competitions.
competitionsvouchers.com
is a vast site who lists the competitions they advertise under various categories this is a convenient way of seeing some of the latest categories but also applying for competitions which would appeal to you. UK competitions brings thousands of online competitions into one location. If you're serious about entering loads of competitions to increase your chances this is the site for you
Alternatively check out www.myoffers.co.uk they list competitions galore but also quizzes which take a bit more skill to enter. Remember though the harder or more complex the entry is the more likely you are to win. This is because the vast majority of people will be put of by a lengthier application process. This could be the key to your competition success if less people are in the draw, you will have a much better chance of being one of the winners
The www.theprizefinder.com is a similar site with tons of content the add hundreds of new competitions on a daily basis if you want to win some serious prizes you should have a look at the Prize Finder. Prize finder also run a lot of their own competitions and but be wary because you could end up spending your own cash to play them.
Good Luck !0 -
what's wrong with this site?? not enough for you???
my offers spam you anyway0 -
Not sure of the point of frankmedia's post. There are enough comps posted on here anyway, besides myoffers is very spa mmy and in VelvetGlove's Comping Guide here as one to avoid.Unless you are trying to promote them?
If it's this Frank Media, maybe so -
MarketingFrank Media are perfectly placed to provide a fully integrated marketing approach - blending traditional and digital methods for maxium success. Creative, exciting and successful campaigns blending all mediums to maximum success.

This was before I started comping but I thought others would be very interested in this ASA adjudication
Gives a nice insight into how these games actually work.
MSE compers were complaining on this thread here. Was it one of us who reported them? Shame ASA can't actually fine them or anything, I doubt K-C will care one bit.
