well said scooby even the posts above are still trying to turn it around onto me being a lone parent too right i will get cross, no matter what i say there is someting nasty said back in return, almost trying to imply that i am worried about going for a esa medical, in other words just trying to avoid work i know with the situation i am in i csnt work and believe me i would love too i hate not being able to work becaause i always have done ALWAYS i haver known for a while i could have prob claimed extra money but because of my situation have decided to leave it until my next app with lone parent adviser, she has already told me i will be switched onto esa no prob as my details are already on the system, i really dont care about money if i had i would have claimed extra a while back i certainly dont have to justify myself to the lone parent haters on here !
Nobody said anything personal to you, only about lone parents who play the system. Any lone parent who is a genuine case should be as much against this as anyone else but sticking up for people who do it just encourages people to tar you with the same brush.
If you are confident that you are a genuine case then you are doing nothing wrong, but don't support others who aren't as genuine as you are, just because you wear the same "lone parent" title as you do.0 -
yes i can see that but i will say this again i said i dont condone it but certain people were twisting what i said whichever way they couldIt is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.0

I wonder if they don't realise how ill they are until they have to face the reality of working while ill?
I didn't work when my eldest was little (he has special needs) and by the time he was 6 and settled in school a problem I'd been having had got worse over time. I'd just lived with it, but when I saw a job advert and they said I could work while my boy was in school and have all the training days and holidays off unpaid I jumped at the chance.
A few days later it actually hit me that I couldn't do the job in my current state, the physical aspects I hadn't considered. Luckily the GP gave me something that worked a treat and I was able to do the job.
Some people might have more complex problems that can't be solved by pills - IBS for example, easier to live with when you're a stay at home mum than when you're working on a till in a supermarket :eek:52% tight0
