nigella has a great recipe for gingerbread cake which has a lot of syrup in it - found a link to it online here . Never made it myself but live with someone who makes it quite often and i can recommend it highly!
    Failing that, definitely the wrestling!

Chocolate cruchies- cocoa, syrup and butter melted together in a pan and then add cornflakes. Stir together and then put into cake cases and leave to set.

You could always increase the challenge of those stilts and try walking through it...then once you fall over start the wrestling. LOL, i am asuming there will be two of you on stilts as you say you bought four cans....:rotfl:

This is something I had as a kid in NZ, its lovely but can get sickly if eaten on its own, its the same as the inside of a crunchy bar. A really yummy trick is to crush it with a hammer or similar andmix into cheap vanilla ice cream.

    5 tbsp syrup
    2 tbsp sugar
    1 tsp baking soda

Put sugar and syrup into saucepan, heat gently, stirring constantly until sugar dissolved. Increase heat and bring to boil. Boil for 2 mins, stirring to avoid burning. Remove from heat. Add baking soda. Stir QUICKLY until mixture froths up. Pour into buttered tin immediately. Leave until cold and hard, break into pieces.

Lol Ronnie...maybe I should tell you that I was doing a little talk at the local primary school and the tins were for the kids to try out the stilts.

Sorry to be so boring. :rotfl:

As for the suggestions that involved things other than cooking  , thank you kindly but as much as I love my OH.......I really do not want to be stuck to him! :D

I notice the last recipe states 5 tbsp. :j We're getting there.....only another 900+ tbsp left to go, lol.

Cheers everyone, keep the ideas coming if you have anymore.

I make 4 dozen of these every week for my children's school Healthy Tuck Shop(they're not actually very healthy :o )They always go down well.

they are a much healthier option than chocolate bars especially if you use museli vs plain porridge oats. lidl does a 1kg bag of museli for 99p :T
