Can you guys help me out with an MSE dilemma?
I booked a room on the Isle of Wight ages ago when the sale is on, for 3 nights in March. Total cost including Wifi £68. Brilliant!
I then learned that a colleague has a flat with a garden on IoW which he lets for a steal at £15 a night.
OH wants to consider abandoning the booking, it's non-refundable because a) if the weather is crap we will have a proper flat with kitchen, TV, DVD, sofas etc, b) separate rooms - not sure what I was thinking but what do you suggest we do from 7.30 pm when DS goes to sleep, whisper?! and c) use of a garden instead of being forced to go out all day just to be outside because a) if the weather is crap we will have a proper flat with kitchen, TV, DVD, sofas etc, b) separate rooms - not sure what I was thinking but what do you suggest we do from 7.30 pm when DS goes to sleep, whisper?! and c) use of a garden instead of being forced to go out all day just to be outside
For £15 a night it is hardly an extravagence, I wish we hadn't already paid, but for an extra £45 - I feel it would be a bit silly not to as we may spend more than that in meals out, lunches etc that in the flat we could prepare for ourselves cheaply.......
Kicking myself but there is no going back on the booking 0 0

Could you maybe sell the hotel rooms on ebay?
Or see if any of us want them? Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0

You could try selling it on ebay? Are you sure you cannot change the booking? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I'd love to Bunny, in fact I would happily donate them as then at least someone would enjoy it but it is non-transferable - I think becuase it was a sale-price room.
If there is a way around it then it's yours!0
