Evening all - welcome Inky
Stu is having an operation on a hernia on Friday - he has to have someone with him for 24 hours afterwards but can come home. His family are useless so I've said he can come here.....:o
He's been a bit twunty recently and last night said that he missed me and he wasn't coping very well, so I'm not sure if having him here to stay is giving him the wrong message really. But he hasn't got anywhere else to go.
I will be doing a lot of biting of my tongue and counting to 10 I think.
as long as he behaves like a visitor, so treat him like a visitor, even if it means waiting on him a bit as you would do any visitor, rather than letting him have free reign on kitchen etc.... does that make sense? or am i talking carp??
how does sexy new man feel about this?
good of you to be the "bigger man" as it were, and nice to have a favour in hand!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

Where's everyone gone - have I killed the thread, see these lurkers, give 'em inch & they take a mile / yard (or whatever the saying is) :rotfl:
Dont worry Inky, there always seems to be a lull about 5'ish. I think its when all the 'furtive' posters are making their way home from work:D .
Snaggles, he'll have to be laying still all the time ( for 2 or 3 days really ) so you can make him comfy and all but ignore him. Dont make your life difficult, other things in your life are sounding pretty good, dont lose focus. xx

Hello Snaggles - thanks for the welcome :T
Love that word "twunty" - cracks me up but sums things up so well.
The "I miss you" must be a common theme amongst some ex's, mine still rings me up (2 yrs since split) to tell about his week & how he misses me, no-one else understands him, etc & he's remarried

I think you are doing the right thing Snaggles. I'm sure D will be ok about it, he is going through a similar situation with his split. When I split from my ex, he was still quite dependent for a good while and even now I help him with bits and bobs, such as helping him sort out after the mess this week.

groan..........I need to get changed, load the car and go out in this horrid weather

Shame the classes can't be in the daytime, but the kids are obviously in school then.
Is is really three and a half months since I was sitting here saying I'd done my first ever class? All the panicking? And the gas not being on.............oh god, that was an awful start to my teaching career!! :rotfl:

You sound like you love the classes....once you are there BB! Getting motivated to go out in carp weather is one of my probs, that why I like my hours.....up at 0030hrs and out, getting dressed on the way.
edit; hope you are going to bring something tasty to Manchester!

Len - yes, it's been really hard on him. I thought he was coping a bit better recently but he seems really sad.

Maz, that makes perfect sense
I'm not quite sure how sexy new man feels about it. When Stu stayed over Xmas, he was a bit worried (not that there's ANY need). So possibly the same, but I hope he knows by now that there's no going back, my marriage is over and it's him I want. I'll make sure he knows that.
Hiya Pepe - yes, a lot of things are really good at the moment - I'm enjoying life again, although sometimes the evenings can be very lonely, just me, a glass of wine and my laptop (ohh who am I kidding, I used to crave such peace and quiet hehehe)."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
lol - you are my best mate now Maz!!!!
I do enjoy the classes, it's knackering getting back at 9.30 though and then having to shower and wash and dry my hair before I eat (I'd never do it in the morning, too much faff with myhair!!) and I've got 3 classes a week this term. I'm going to be dreaming of Minestrone soup though, I've got a huge pot full in the fridge from testing the recipe and I'm doing it at 2 of my 3 classes over the next 24 hours!
