    For £15 a night it is hardly an extravagence, I wish we hadn't already paid, but for an extra £45 - I feel it would be a bit silly not to as we may spend more than that in meals out, lunches etc that in the flat we could prepare for ourselves cheaply.......

    Kicking myself but there is no going back on the booking :(

    If you pay for the rooms in advance then can someone not pay DD for the rooms and then whoever buys them just go.....how will they know who is in the rooms....

    ...but with that in mind I am searching the T&Cs to see what they expect you to provide on arrival - a printed email or any formal ID...

    Daph - when you ring them could you say that you booked the rooms as a present for someone, and it's not actually you that will be staying in them? If they're okay with that, then someone could just buy the rooms off you.
