    Yes I'll be in Manchester.

What you said about the stress, depression is so true. Baby steps really are the key, it can be frustrating but it's better to get there slowly than to burn out along the way. I've done both in the past and definitely found baby steps to be the right way to go.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

BTW, ref the hand...get yourself a stress-ball/grip-strengthener..not only will it help build up the muscle and keep everything moving better, it will also help break down the scar tissue in the area...give it a try...

May I also add to the roll-call of those who feel honoured to be mentioned in your first post....if I/we helped...glad to have done so :) after all, isn't what this community is all about ?!?!!?!? OF COURSE IT IS :D

    Hi GJ

Thanks for posting your support - excellent suggestion about the stress ball as will fulfill a double purpose methinks as negotiations with the builders over payment are about to start ...

    Hi Numpty

Piggies are behaving thanks Hun but a tad sulky atm as their spinach and greens have dried up (Sainsbury's not stocked them since before Christmas - still that saves me quite a bit off the weekly shopping bill ;) ) and they are having to make do with more hay (which suits me fine as it is much much cheaper - £7.50 for a large bale which lasts them a month - whereas it has been costing £10.00+ to keep them in fresh veg for only a week  )

Well I have finally done my tax return :j :j ...the good news is it looks like I should get some NI contributions refunded (I did last year - about £130)....which will go towards the two new tyres being fitted next week. The bad news is I might not have been given the right tax code and end up owing the tax man some dosh on the bonus I was paid Xmas 07

I've also talked myself into an extra £250 payment for some workI did for a client before Christmas, :D and more work over the next two months (Not guaranteed) which could bring in an additional £1200 per month until end of March :j

....And I started back at the gym and was actually surprised at how well I did despite not going for 6 months - I am still far more fit than I was this time 2 years ago before the flood :D

After the massive cookfest last week, I have enough frozen meals to last the rest of the month and my weekly shopping bill was reduced down to £35 this week.... Biggest expenditure is on lactose-free milk which is £1.37 compared to ordinary semi-skimmed at 0.86......an extra £2.50 per week simply because I have to steer clear of lactose  ..so I have decided to phase in one ordinary carton of milk each week and see if there is any problem. Also now I have discovered spelt flour and have a breadmaker I can avoid the expensive (AND YUKKY) gluten-free stuff and make my own bread for £2 per week. (Thankfully it seems I have intolerance to modern day wheat rather than wheat gluten per se...)

Still no word from the insurance company or loss adjusters about the interim payment  ...but i have managed to move my ISA into the mortgage offset so should avoid having to pay interest next month on the additional £40k drawn down on the mortgage last July. Any interest charged from now on until the insurance company pay up on my claim will be reclaimed from the latter ;)

    Objectives for this week:
Write another letter of complaint to insurance company requesting interim payment
Raise invoices for billable work to date
Sort out all paperwork and do business accounts ready for 08/09 tax return
Insulate roof space and book in plumber to fix leaks
Book car in for tyres (as I am now right on the legal limit :o )
    Send off more CV's
Get hair done in preparation for job interview.....(more on that next week ;) )
Sort out another 0% BT for outstanding credit card debt (current 0%due to end in March....)
Go to gym at least 3 times....(got to get my money's worth while I'm not working full time ;) )

Right I'm off the make some bread and sort out the paperwork....see you all later

    Hugs to all
    Love
