    Yoooooo.... BOB me hearty....:grouphug: :kisses3:

Unfortunately no milk but lactofree (heated or otherwise) has been as effective and as for the soya stuff (tried and tested...) t'was a no no.

What is really weird is this whole intolerance thing was sparkedup by drinking a single (oooh dare I say the brand name..).....Y.............three years ago to "improve my health" :rotfl: :rotfl: ....so I also now have to steer clear of anything bio/acidopholus based as it just causes more probs..... ...(again tried and tested much to my embarassment :o )

Of course turnips are brilliant for the digestion (well mine anyway)....:j :j :D

How's it faring at yours tonight Hun?

    Hugs

Homemade gluten free bread is a bit like cake, toasted it's like French toast though which is lovely.
Can you have Soya milk? They have it for a £1 in Sainsburys and Morrisons at the moment.
Good luck for the job interview.

    HI G..how's you diddling....

Are you totally gluten-a-no-no or can you perhaps try spelt?....it has been a revelation for me and a massive change (not least putting on half a stone...)

Any chance you can make it to Manchester Hun?

    Hey Wol, so-so really.

I can sometimes, if I'm feeling okay, sneak a teeny bit of gluten. But it's pretty rare I get away without major upset. I haven't tried spelt - might give it a go, wouldn't know where to get it from though!

Nope too far for me, was looking at going to visit other friends in March and it's about £300 on the train - even splitting tickets :( Need to have a meet down my way :)

    Hi Gemmzie

    Aww hugs Hun :grouphug:

Know what you mean about not being able to get away without a major upset....I am suffering from a mental moment of eating two chocolate biscuits.....now I just suck the chocolate off!!

Spelt Wholegrain (by Doves Farm) is now available in most supermarkets in the flour and baking section...and there are recipes for spelt bread on the internet depneding upon whether you hae abreadmaker or not...also Doves farm now do gluten and wheat free flour. I have bought some of that too to try in cheese sauce/pizza dough etc - first attempt at cheese sauce came out OK although you don't seem to need so much of it as normal flour...we'll see what happens in future baking exploits as I get a bit more adventurous (never been one to bake cakes/scones/pastry etc but I do want to try pasta as I used to eat loads of that)

Shame you can;t make it to Manchester - whereabouts are you Hun? Surely not down my way in Sussex?

    Yes yes yes!!:j :j :j :j

I have insulated the roof space and finished lagging the pipes........
....and despite using a mask and gloves I am now itching all over  (I have had to lie flat and pull myself to and fro under pipes in a very small confined space and my clothes are covered in fibres:rotfl: )

Still, I can;t believe the temperature rise that was occurring as one panel of insulation after another was fitted. Now hopefully I wll not have frozen pipes again  ...or get frostbite in the shower :D

Cup of tea, hoover up the mess and then a long soak in the bath

Wow, I'm really chuffed with myself.....:T

:o Dear oh dear...after the high of yesterday, I have come down to earth today with a rather resounding bump!! Seems like a lot of peeps are having a bad day today so hugs to all........

Didn't really feel I got anywhere.

Firstly, Have had a long chat with the recruitment consultant and looks like I am going to be asked for interview at the beginning of Feb - however it was clear they had no understanding at all of my industry/science/job experience (wonder if they had really read my CV?) and you have to wonder how "enthusiastically" they will present you to their clients. I obviously reassured them and gave them examples for each of their criteria as to why I was right for the job ...but really don;t hold out much hope. One thing however, obviously need to produce a "gumby" guide CV..

Anyhow so big rejection...methinks..and on to the rest...actually the most important...... actuually now no 2 in importance list!!!!

No 2:At 6.45tonight Grommie guinea ( my most stalwart 4+ yrs old Guinea) decides he is going to start a serious nose bleed....(guineas dont have nosebleeds :confused: )..emergency call to vet and luckily Auntie R is just putting her coat on and says..bring him in.........upshot..(bless her...she really knows what she is talking about) ...Grommie now temporarily recovered..but cost me £40.56
..sigh.. but he's worth it..my main guinea....and unfortunately..he may have long term condition (tumour) that will require "termination" so no further suffering.......am gutted.........we will know when take him in for Xray in two weeks (futher cost £75!!)

Can't talk anymore..hugs to those that need them :grouphug: :grouphug:

Que sera sera.....Wol weeeps incessantly..... :o
