Hi everyone
Just a quick pop on to say that Grommie guinea is very chipper today and making his normal randy rumbling noises at his OH (Fleure) ...:j ..(which is more than I can say for the poor sod who stayed up most of the night with ice pack at the ready in case he had another nose bleed!!:o ) Must be the green beans I have been feeding him after his antibiotics..:rotfl: :rotfl:
Thanks to everyone for their help, support and good wishes- especially those who had to put up with snotty tears down the phone last night
Today I finally got the insurance to cough up an interim payment direct into my bank account :T :T ....and they say loss adjuster will shortly be making me an offer on my contents claim (I hope it's reasonable otherwise back to square one....)..so that's another objective crossed off and the car is having new tyres tomorrow.
Right I'm very tired and off to bed now as I have an early morning business breakfast - hopefully to generate some work for February as January has been very quiet....
Bye for now..

Hi Numpty
Phew - first time all day I have managed to put my feet up!
Grommie is fine thanks Hun- no more bleeds - so still at a loss to know what caused it (unless Fleure has a pair of boxing gloves hidden in the cage :rotfl: :rotfl: )
BUsiness breakfast was good - I have potential to bill more work over next two months.......:j
Took car to tyre place, they took front tyres off and then realised they;d ordered the wrong size.....and then they said I had at least 2000 miles left in the existing ones(my dealership said the tyres needed changing as they were right on the pimit at the car's last service in November   )........so they put the old ones back on and I will take car in after another 2000 miles (ie end of Feb) - cost will be about £350.00 (that's for cheaper Continentals Numpty rather than the Michelins I have on at the moment - but the Contis protect my alloys better and I drove my last BMW for 90,000 miles on Contis with no probs) but at least I won;t have to pay it out for another couple of months
Tomorow I have a structural engineer arriving at 8.30 to advise about how to rebuild my bridge  ......not looking forward to that as it sounds very expensive...and it has been raining a lot here tonight so I'm going to go and check the stream in a minute (stream was at top of the banks on monday morning when I woke up but didn't flood luckily)
Ooh and tax return is now submitted - woo hoo - I'm due a £200 refund :j :j ..
will check with bank tomorrow morning to make sure the insurance payment is in my account ....and now I'm off to bed as I am knackered.
Sleep well everyone

I've driven on Michelins, Continentals, Dunlops and all sorts, and they've all been fine. It's the cheap "Hanky Spanky Tyre Company" that you have to beware of - otherwise they're all much of a muchness.
There are differences, but they tend not to be all that important unless you really slam your car into the corners..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Hope you get car sorted out.....not sure about the 'hanky spanky' stuff as never heard of it in tyres before..:rotfl: :rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0
