Hey Wol - I saw the weather forecast on the beeb tonight and they were muttering something about getting showers on Friday and wetter rain at the weekend - bloomin' typical as I am due at a carnival on Saturday (a prime opportunity for me to promote my business - I have a sneaky plan:rotfl:). I will be going with FastAid (the charity whose vehicle I paid the insurance on) to help fundraise so me being the canny business woman that I am contacted the printers late yesterday, the proof has been prepared and okayed and I pick up 500 leaflets on Friday. My business details are all over the front including my logo and tucked away at the bottom after all the bits about me is the little words We are Proud Sponsors of FastAid complete with FastAid's logo:j

Tomorrow night I am off to a meeting to discuss a charity cricket match that I have to organise (I think my chum has been asked to do it but she claims not to have the time:rolleyes:). So anyone for tea and jammy sandwiches:rotfl:

    Hello Horace

Still going strong I see, making the most of any opportunity that presents itself....Arra girl.......what a truly entrepreneurial spirit you have and the makings of a great business woman

(Hope you are you planning to take over from Karen whatshername who manages Birmingham City and interviews for Suralan........)

I have been watching the Apprentice much more this time round than previous...I have to say I normally tune in after the task when they arein the Board room.because the quality and personalities of the candidates really makes me cringe...and actually gets me quite angry sometimes because it in no way reflects the really good entrepreneurial business people out there........but I always make a point to watch the interviews from start to finish to see what the interveiwers unearth or concentrate on. ....

I think the right two got through to the final.........but I am actually horrified that they made such a big black mark against Yasmina about the fact that she had already set up a successful business......I think it will deter the right type of applicants applying for the next series

Anyhow back to the cricket match...LET THEM EAT CAKE!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hugs to you Hun.....would love to have a conflab/meet with you soon

That's because they don't actually want business people, they want disfunctional personalities who look good for television.

Although it tries to portray itself as a semi-fly-on-the-wall documentary, it's just another talent show. Albeit without Ant and Dec...

Oh that made me feel old :rotfl::rotfl:

Like having to explain lines in this 70's play we're doing; to youngsters who have no idea how much the world has moved on in the last [STRIKE]5 minutes [/STRIKE] 30 years ()

    Nonsense OO

You is a spring chicken ........just because we all still quote the long hot sumer of 76.....:cool::cool::cool:

And hugs about the chicklets......it IS difficult isn;t it. Funnily enough lots of my friends at the funeral who have kids were all talking about how they would NEVER let their kids have a party at the house....becuase they knew what we ourselves got up to at their age, and what our parents had to face when they returned....... and they were all complaining that their kids don;t understand or appreciate that their parents were young once.....and might actually be speaking from experience :rotfl::rotfl: (well, I have to say we DID have some wild parties in 76..radiators off walls, bleached carpets, broken windows, vomit on younger brothers school suit and parents cashmere coats..:cool:)

    sigh......I guess.. nothing really changes......
