    Aww Z thanx........that's actually very heartening that someone thinks I'm fast.

    (No, really, I'm serious......cos for the last two years I feel I've been functioning at less than tortoise speed..which has been/still is very frustrating for me..and I am still whipping myself...even today.... for not being back on par yet....)

    It's not wise to compare yourself to how you were in the past: First, we're an unreliable witness when it comes to ourselves - being too close to the subject is a problem. Secondly, we tend to distort our rememberence depending on which particular thing we wish to beat ourselves up about. Thirdly, you've got a lot of slowing down to do before you become as slow as some people...

    Go back to your message where you put the pics in - edit everything between the [ IMG ] and [/ IMG ] pairs. Instead of being c:\ (which is your local hard disk) it should be http://photobucket.com/<loads of blah>

    This is spooky as I was writing a post, treid to insert a pic, then put it on preview post, then noticed from preview it wouldn;t post properly, then it froze, then it got moving again, then I deleted the pic, changed the post and only THEN did I press submit.(for the first time) .........yet YOU saw it :eek::eek::eek:

    :hello: Hi Wol - wow, you were busy last night! Another good conversation to read through, shame I work on Friday nights. But I'm glad you liked Simon's cat! :j

    I'm off to my sister's for the weekend, our 83 year old mother came down on the train for my sister's half term weekend, so we'll nearly all be together (bro lives in Lancashire). She's doing okay, has been triggered into a bit of a meltdown at work, really needs this half term right now. Reading about your feeling of being snail paced after all the stuff you've been through the last couple of years, I can understand it, but your body knows best. You look after yourself, and then you do the best you can... I feel that way about myself, certainly.

    It'd be great to see you in my neck of the woods, absolutely! House is a pit, collapsing at either side, slowly and *un* gracefully, and needs rewiring and replumbing, but its still standing. Take care of yourself.
    xx

    It will post - honest. JPGs have no concept of DRM. The only time pictures don't post is because sometime the HTTP server screws up the MIME type.

    Which cat?

    Oops - wrong mime...

    :hello::hello:
    How's you today....did the plants survive the frost last night or did the weathermen get it wrong?

    Definitely the middle pic by the way...It's what I want to do every time I see the rat......but I haven't found any Uzi's for offer on freecycle yet ;)

    Just been talking to next door - she had 3 rats on her lawn last week :eek::eek:..so called in the council and they put down two bait houses between her and her other neighbour....fat chance of having any effect.....however think it's the push I need to make more effort to ensure the demise of some of the local wildlife :D

    The neighbours had the tree surgeons in today who have just quoted me for all my work (got fed up waiting since last October for firstly the tree warden, then the other tree surgeons etc to approve/quote:mad:). These strapping young lads (down girls, down!;)) popped in to see me after they'd finished next door, have quoted a daily rate for three of them (total two days) rather than per tree (so absolute bargain).....will ring up the council to make sure we are legal.......and have booked themselves in to do the work monday week.

    HALLELUJAH.....:dance::dance:..someone who wants the work and now I'll be able to cross off the first of the "BIG" jobs.........:T:T:T...and once they've cut down the trees/hedges, he'll quote to re-do my fencing as his step-dad's a fencer :T:T:T...so looks like big job no 2 is also sorted. :dance::dance:

    Right off to enjoy the quick burst of sunshine and sort out the hanging baskets......then work out how to protect the plants and bring all the pigs back in for sunday night when the weather is going to get rather cold down here....

    See you later
