Don't follow the instructions on the tub of slug killer - just carpet bomb the area...

People who have friends all through their life are so lucky. I'm glad the funeral went as well as a funeral can go. *hugs*

    Thanx G

I am still tryng to work out what it was about my friends euology that somehow "made everything all right" and not the complete emotional meltdown I was afraid of. (not just for me but for everyone). Whatever it was (a combination of factors i think including his West country lilt, the joy in his voice as he was remembering past escapades, the true apprecation and honour he gave to the deceased and how he brought together all the groups of mourners)....and the fact that so many people both past and present turned up.....I came away thinking that we had given him a good send-off and was really grateful to his family that they had permitted us the opportunity to do so.

How's you at the moment Hun.....

Wow, lots going on here .... hurray to lots more piggies around. And hurray to raised beds - that sounds like you've got a goodly amount going there, wol.

And I have to confess .... I like my cordless screwdriver. Its fun. I especially love it when it unscrews things that would have formerly taken me days and days and days!

    Hi KC

Thankx for the good wishes the other week.

I am feeling much more confident with my power tools as last weekend I actually managed to put together a raised mobile (on castors!) vegetable bed. :j:j
So lots of screwing and drilling last weekend.....and a few minor catastophes which meant I learnt about screw lengths and widths, drill vs screw sizes, batons, and .....Oooops......better stop or ZTD will have a field day :rotfl::rotfl:

Well it took 4 hours..(bit frustrating as I thought it would take less time becuase of my power tools :rotfl:)......but it was a learning curve so if I decide to make another one, hopefully it will take less time now I;ve got the design right (and the screws!).

Unfortunately I haven't got round to filling it with soil yet.......that's the main job for this weekend...will make up a combination of sieved topsoil from garden, old compost from bags that got flooded two years ago, new compost bought this year (with Christmas garden vouchers :D), top dressing from two years ago intended for lawn...and basically any other dirt I can find ;):rotfl:

Hope things are going OK for you and also for your sis.......

I am hoping to be visiting a client in your neck of the woods later this month so will PM you to see if we can meet up.

    Hugs to you
