They're not just growing Numpty..they're half way up the windows :eek:. The dining room is rapidly becoming a jungle

Everything you planted has now germinated...:T:T..so you'll be pleased to hear that I made my first raised bed today out of that old pallett......(still couldn;t master the cordless drill/driver despite your tuition :o)......I put the (free) grow bag inside...and put some castors on the bottom....shame it's for the courgettes which are the only ones that haven;t germinated :rotfl::rotfl:

Have one more to make tomorrow from wood scraps and also bought some treated proper wood today from the timber mill to make another big one.....I've got the pots, canes and baskets organised for the beans and flowers...so hopefully all seedlings should be planted out by end of this week :j:j

How's you Hun...did you manage to get your leggies brown today......?

Wow...I've had a really good day today. Been working the last two days and will be starting client work next week with a vengeance (yippee, can start to bill for money again as haven't raised any invoices since eary April).....so decided to sort out all those "odd jobs" over a long weekend.

    So today I have...
Taken old electrical items that didn;t freecycle to dump
Cleaned hob and oven (proper-like..with yucky cleaning stuff and lots of elbow grease...not just wipe down)
Booked warranty visit to fix oven doors and hob (that's why I was forced to clean them today :D;))
Booked doctors appointment for routine test that should have been done in Feb
Renewed pre-payment certificate (should have got it in Feb :o)
    Got wood for raised bed
    Made one raised bed :T
Set up new runs for piggies (hmmm did involve a certain amount of expenditure to buy them earlier this week :o).....and let them munch the grass for a few hours this afternoon
One load of washing now hangin on line
Dishwasher stacked, washed and then unstacked
Rang tree surgeon to chase quote
Got hanging baskets and liners sorted ready for planting
Rung SmashedBooBoo and had a natter :D
    Made bread
    Sent mum's birthday card
Sorted out payment for British Gas work to repair builders bodget of central heating system
    Done two (Paid) surveys
Applied for new work as a PAID mentor (much of the mentoring I do is pro bono)

Not bad considering I was still in my dressing gown at 10am this morning :eek:

Now I am cooking salad potoatoes, prior to cooking green beans and fresh tuna... in order to have hot salade nicoise for dinner ....yum yum.....

Hopefully I wil manage to sleep in my bed tonight instead of on the sofa.(...Numpty it's clearly a lurgy that is going round....first Smashed, then you, now me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

Oh...and I keep hearing this in my head today....although the original version from Katrina and the Waves can't be accessed on Youtube so apologies for the artiste....

Bloody 'ell Wol, I'm knackered reading that little lot! Definitely a productive day for you today then!

Good news on the work for next week and hope piggies are loving their run after all that hard work!

Took OH to a garden centre last week and 'accidentally' stumbled across some baby piggies. VVV cute - think I may have swayed OH a little more but not completely yet - definitely getting there though!

Hope you are well and enjoying this lovely weather x x x

They're easy... You just grip firmly between thumb and fore-finger and squeeze slowly, but hard. It'll start to whine, but then will start to do what you want it to.

Hey Wol - you have been really busy.

Paid mentoring is a good idea - far better than freebies:D

You will be pleased to hear that I am now in print - with some lovely quotes from my business in an article about wedding planners, a listing in the useful contacts and the bottom of the article and then my quarter page ad. I am feeling rather chuffed. Now, the other day I chased up More Than as they were supposed to send me some vouchers after I took out their poxy insurance (the nincompoops kept sending things to a different flat 5 entirely:mad: - key in my postcode and about 50 or so flats come up so nincompoop at the end of the phone picks the easy option - the first flat 5 that she came too and totally ignored what I said to her:mad:) - well now £50 of capital bond vouchers appeared in the post today after I badgered them. Now I know that I can spend them in Argos so instead of buying something for me I am going to get a nice two door cupboard which will at least help get some of the junk off the floor:j

I can't get on with those cordless drill thingies either - I have an electric drill/screwdriver thingy and it never works for me plus I can never change the bits, the magnet is too strong for me:rolleyes: Give me an old fashioned screwdriver instead.

Just wondering when shops stopped selling loose nails? I wanted to get a good 4 inch nail the other day and ended up having to buy a bag of the things - as I gave the proper drill back to the ex (doh) and I cannot use my electric screwdriver thingy I decided that a nail and a hammer would do just as well to bodge holes into the bottom of the wooden wine box that I found near the bins so that I can use it as a planter.

Tomorrow is a busy day - out canvassing (its good exercise and I get a free lunch:rotfl:) then I have to get ready as I am being taken to a gig by a mate (she wants to matchmake me with some bloke or other who is a paramedic:eek:) - haven't been to a gig for yonks so we are off to see Starvin' Dogs (play led zep type stuff). She'd kill me if I turned up in biker gear so I had better just wear posh jeans and a normal t-shirt:rolleyes:

I have found a way of drying herbs too - leave them on my balcony and forget to water them, the rosemary has dried off a treat:mad::rotfl:

Best dash as I need to be up early in the morning so that I can do my hair and get ready for canvassing.:D
