Alternatively, try a metal plate with a plastic drinking bowl in it. Rat bends down to drink and notices the live wire in the water an instant before the lights go out....

its pointless mentioning councils in the same year let alone in the same post:rotfl:

All council vans have a calendar rather than a speedo...

Wol, I hope it goes okay. My brother in law's funeral last month was incredibly difficult to face, and most of us were crying our eyes out, but once it was over, it was fine ... speaking to people, enjoying their company, reminiscing about my brother in law, looking at the pictures of him that had been set up, reading the cards and emails everyone had sent, it was a wonderful summary of his life.

    Lots of hugs.

That is what funerals are for: They aren't for the dead, because they're dead - they're to heal the living.

    :grouphug: for you both.

Wol - do you have a garden fork with pointy and sharp prongs - use that to turn over your compost and don't put food in it e.g. eggshells, veg peelings - yummy things that attract rats. Put a notice up in the corner shop say that you are looking to employ someone with a couple of terriers so that they can despatch said rodent - jack russells are particularly good at this because they are small and mean and ratlike:eek:
