Dentist * clattering and slamming as Zoey bolts for the door and down the road*

Seriously though I got struck off as my appointment came after the day it should have been arghhh. It did say on the letter that no excuse would be accepted, you miss it your struck off so I did not bother to phone them. Can not get another one as the one I had was the only specialist Dentist about and he was my daughters as well but she got struck off as well!

Yep I am definitely back again, hopefully for good this time. I got made redundant in November and have had a rough time over the last six months too. But I am bouncing back with my adjusted username, gutted about losing my post count though!!

Well just to let all you dentist phobics know, I'm fine, I really am. Had some soup earlier and I'm hungry now.:D

Dentist packed my cavity with this new stuff that melts away eventually but it prevents infection and the dreaded 'dry socket'.

I've taken some painkillers to make sure, I'm not a martyr to pain, believe me.

Toothsmith is the resident dentist on MSE, can be found on health and beauty boards, any queries, concerns etc he'll usually answer for you.

I also took some arnica in order to reduce swelling.

Had a little nap this afternooon and I'm ok.

Congrats to Johanne, you go girl, getting a dentist and regular check ups are so important. My OH hadn't been to a dentist for well over 10 years due to a bad experience, I eventually convinced him to get registered at mine and it's the best thing he's done. His dentist is lovely, approachable, warm and explains everything. Yes he does'nt relish having any invasive work done but then the pain he was in was excruciating. He trusts his dentist now which is good.

Please at least consider getting yourself sorted at some point, impacted teeth, absesses, etc can all be treated and despite the pressure on the health service we are lucky in the country to be able to access dental care.

I shudder to think what it must be like not to have any dental care.

Didn't forget it as such, Roboform forgot it when my computer caught a virus (achhoooo). I did email asking for a reminder but never got one so thought to hell with it, a post count isn't as important as being back here :D

I've done lots of flying today.

Could anyone with a wii fit tell me if I also need to purchase the wii fit rechargeable battery pack and does it come with a basic game? Thanks xx
It comes with 4 xAA batteries, mine (basic pack) didn't come with a battery pack and I doubt we'll bother getting one.

Might try some flying tonight, but I'll leave the bedroom til the weekend. I'm at home for an extra hour or two tomorrow morning so will try then.

Had yet another nightmare journey as my train got cancelled so am pooped now and am contemplating a bath if I can be bothered to move from the sofa. I'm off to catch up with the thread, it's nice being able to now it's not quite so long!

moggins - lovely to have you back! There's a few of us original flyladies left!!

    It's the WEEKEND:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T

Evening all - abnormal service will be resumed.

My dentist is brill:D - I would rather go there than the hairdressers!

    :bdaycake: Miss A

Put the washing out this morning (wet) brought it in this evening (damp):rotfl:so it's on the radiator/airer then I can iron tomorrow:T
bath shelves soaking in bio liquid and soda combo in bath as I type

    Jobs
V*****al scan (the joy) tomorrow so I'll have to work hard to squeeze everything in (ooo err)
Book 'teenager at last' thing in local paper for DD (with photo)
Book smear (obviously priorities slightly shifted atm and AF still AWOL)
Book opticians appt for DS (which I forgot about but all the talk of health professionals has reminded me)
Plus, obviously some cleaning...details to follow although Thursday's list looks right up my street.

Pigpen - thanks to you too re the damp - I'm beginning to realise I will need to get a man in for this. And don't fret, there's no electric sockets on that wall! And, I didn't realise there may be issues with a leaky UPVC - as coroborated by Valli....
And Valli - there's no paint flaking off - not yet! And I'm 99.99999% certain I would have noticed a patch that damp when I washed down the walls when I got the new futon (what - a couple of weeks ago? After Christmas and before New Year anyway!) so it's quite sudden.
the possible leak jumps out at me because we haven't had much rain - we have rain - you have damp.

Confession time now - today's been a day off for me - out and about this morning, plus quilting this afternoon....so the dust gets a chance to settle, so I'll know when I do do it! (Sounds a good excuse to me, anyway!)
Aren't all your days days off now, technically?***green with envy***
    Got any 'big plans?'

Right - off to get oven stuff out of bath ...
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY
