  • Bathroom and kitchen looking tidier - have persuaded DH to give the grouting a once over while i'm at work - there's still some left on the tiles here and there from when it was done a few months ago.

Still some ironing to do but it can wait til tomorrow - did my studying this morning so i'm happy.

Off to work now - will try and catch up with the posts i've missed if we're quiet

Have a great afternoon all x
    I'd rather be watching CSI!

    Hi toots
Yes well spotted, but surely you are too young to have 'osteo'.
I decided on Sunday as it is the one day I could be sure of not having any early appointments (except for twice a year) for anything so could have a long start to the day.

Seems to be the season for new avatars
  • Ohhh - am i the frst back after the HHC??

I have done the menu plan - so money saving as I have the basis for 5 dinners.

started shopping list but need to chase kids to see what they want for lunches next week.

hung washing on airer - decided it was too cold and windy outside to hang the washing on the line - wimpy I know!

another load in WM - nearly finished now - so will change over before going shopping

Jeans in t/d to be followed by school uniform

Washing up done - waiting for lazy DS to wipe up

SC on with beef in ale casserole - should be yummy as made with shin of beef.

    Thats it for now!

coffee and time to finish list then its off to Asda for me.

Have made some progress in the study. Not much :o but I'm hoping that the little and often principle will work. Once the junk is out, then I'll be able to clean it up properly. My ice skates (not used for at least 5 years!) are now hanging up in the utility room, which has cleared quite a bit of space.

I've got a sheet soaking in borax as I noticed when I took it off a couple of weeks ago that its looking a bit yellow. It's odd, as none of the others are - I assumed that it might have been from when I've had oily baths before bed, but its been washed twice and not come out, so its soaking, then going in on a hot wash with the towels.

Off to find some more things to do, and will close the windows and put the heating on as well. After the next session I think it's lunchtime!

In my HHC I managed to vacuum the mattress (didn't turn it though as my arm is quite stiff and achy today), remake the bed, vacuum the bedroom, landing and stairs, and wipe all the paintwork up the stairs. Phew! Going to hang the washing out now - it's still sunny here.

  • duh.... i wasn't first - as usual I write too much.

I am amazed at how much I can get done by using a HHC - just a shame that the ironing does not seem to go down at the same speed when I do HHI - Perhaps I need to do more HHI's .......mmmmm

We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

Try doing your HHIs when there's something you want to watch on TV, or listen to on the radio (or even get out a DVD). That way at least you'll be doing something interesting at the same time as ironing... (sorry Valli, but not everyone sees ironing as a leisure activity:rolleyes: , although I saw some Aussies doing underwater ironing  on the TV in the gym on Friday :rotfl:
