I see Valli and Triker have new avatars - am I supposed to know who they are :o:o
No cause you are too young - mine's the actress Peggy Mount seen in film and tv progs in black and white playing dominant matriarchs (she was in a tv comedy called George and the Dragon and she didn't play George)
Triker's...well the first Miss Marple I believe - if you ever get a chance to watch the film version of Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit you'll see Triker's - and it is worth a watch.

Washed, dressed and teeth cleaned thoroughly with new (half price) electric toothbrush- it definitely feels different to the old one - tepe brushes, floss AND mouthwash.

Hot water bottles emptied and put away.

    DW on

All watermarked vases now filled with vinegar solution and dead flowers chucked.

Baking cupboard kind of tidied... enough to put yesterdays bits purchased for the wedding cake trial runs into anyway ;). It probably needs a clearout though, as it looks like I'm also keeping lentils in there  I really MUST hurry up and finish the utility room so I can have a proper sort out in the kitchen :o

Needs to leave the windows open for another hour to get rid of the last of the condensation, so its a bit chilly.

I've just seen that the snowdrops are out in the garden :D

Off to do a bit more pottering to keep warm...
  • Can I join in the HHC? - I need to shift myself as I have been sat here for ages watching a lecture about low carb diets - it was very interesting but was 1 hr 48 mns long - oops :o

I will hang washing out and fill wm again

do meal plan and finish shopping list

if there is time I will also wash up.

five mins to go but loads to do so may start early or may just look at a few more pages on here......

    Afternoon all

No washing today (even though it's sunny out).

Tidied living room and vacuumed right through downstairs. Made a batch of little cherry/sultana cakes with my last four eggs and I've put half in the freezer for the end of the week and half in the larder for now.

Prepped veggies for roast, cooking it teatime today.

DH has done another coat of white emulsion in the little bedroom (ceiling and walls). He should be able to start with colour on the walls next weekend. He decided he wanted the wooden shelves painted to match the other ones (fair enough, but I hate painting) so I've done one side this morning and will do the other side this afternoon. They will need two coats though. Bum.

Going to watch Brothers & Sisters now and then will do some more painting.

How is your LO today GnB?

Margaret Rutherford is Miss Marple as far as I'm concerned, although Joan Hickson was pretty good. I think I'm showing my age ;)

The assignments are finished thanks toots. I am having a week of doing nothing (except full time work of course ;) ). I am still in my jammies catching up with stuff I havent seen on tv. Uni starts again 26 Jan and I go proper part time at work - only 19 hours a week, hurrah!!
