I soooo need to join this thread, so here's my tree pigpen
:xmastree::xmastree:
Today we (dd1 and I) mopped the kitchen floor and then I washed all the mats etc, 3 loads of washing (which is a normal day ), de-cluttered childrens clothes, tidied patio (to get to mop!), put all washing from weekend away, cleaned bins.
Need to: do cat litter tray _pale_, unload and re-load dishwasher, quick tidy of sitting room (de-cluttered last week so dead quick), sort clothes for tomorrow and make 3 pack ups, make ice cream before 600ml double cream goes off in my fridge at the stroke of midnight :rotfl:, do online grocery order for Tuesday delivery.
I thought Sunday was a day of rest
hello and welcome to the thread HomeSpun - do you really need usyou seem to be doing really well already
:rotfl: :rotfl: You are very welcome to join us and I am glad to see you have DD1 to help you too - the more the merrier - it makes it go much quicker AND if you do well then Sunday will become a day of rest (well almost !!)
Just in case you missed my earlier post here is the Toots' official welcome!!!
WORD OF WARNING -dont try to keep up with the thread or you will get nothing done!!!! And pigpen our illustrious leader has a very good aim with her new pink fluffy mules if she catches you slacking!!!:rotfl::rotfl: :rotfl:
WELCOME TO THE WEEKLY FLYLADY(AND GENTS) THREAD
You have definately come to the right place if you want to make a difference in your home.
A new thread is starts on a Sunday evening via a link from the current thread so keep a watch out and dive in!
Make sure you read the first post carefully as it contains all the info and abbreviations that we use!
A new list is added to the 1st post every evening by pigpen our illustrious leader and by the weekend you will have been round the whole house.
Dont get stressed with the mess just try to do the list to whatever level you can manage depending on your home circumstances - work, children, OH's, pets, etc!!!!
Even if you only manage level 1 everyday when you come back to that room next week you will find it is easier and as time goes on it becomes more manageable and you will see huge differences - I know it sounds impossible but I can vouch for the fact it works!!!
Remember your home didnt get in a mess overnight so dont expect it to get tidy in a day!! Dont try to do the whole house at once - you will tire yourself out and sicken yourself - we have all tried it!! BABYSTEPS - little and often and you will be amazed at the improvement.
Post what you have done and forget about what you missed - there is no such thing as failure on here!!!
Dont worry if you cant keep up with the thread it moves very fast just now - just pop in and post and let everybody know how you are doing!
The support, encouragement and friendship on here is simply THE BEST! ask any questions and we will give you our tuppence worth - sometimes sensible sometimes totally insane!
We dont bite - well most of us dont -have fun!!
WELCOME to the totally bonkers mad house!!!!
toots xx:DPeace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

Thanks for the lists Pigpen, they are a great help. Make me do the jobs I put off for months.
anyway got a bit carried away today cleaning the kitchen and foolishly moved the cooker and fridge to clean behind. My god what a state, I had no idea so much crap could fester under a cooker, and the dust that collects in the back of the fridge was absolutely gross. It took me a whole hour to clean it, anyhow now its sorted its a job I shall do little and often. I think it should be on many peoples lists in the upcoming weeks.
Next week maybe I'll venture behind the washing machine!!
Can I ask what do people use to clean their paintwork, without damaging the paintwork? Do you use just washing up liquid or is there something else I should be using.0 -
