Had a long day at work today so flying has not been a priority, but have managed to declutter the front garden - the old car which has been cluttering up the drive has finally been dispatched to the recyclers:j

Have flown in the kitchen and bathroom.

Had to laugh mind, in between. DD finally met her BF's parents today (after, probably, 3 years of DD and BF seeing each other - I was lucky, I met him last summer!). She popped in and told me all about it and said she had been dead nervous because they are 'posh'. She said his father went to Oxford and speaks better English than the Queen! To me, that's probably treason!

But at least she did the meet. Tomorrow DD and her bloke are starting to look for flats in which to live together.

Ahhhh me, my baby has grown up!

And about time - she is 26 and a half!

I managed to catch my fingernail when I was shopping - the staff in the shop were great and dressed it for me - but I have just looked at it and the nail was broken right across so I had to pull it off :( Not happy - it'll take ages to grow back :(

I am now going to watch TV and start sorting my cross stitch threads .......

    WHAT a day.

My lovely husband let me sleep in :D

Then my friend came around so the dogs could spend some time together (socialising her dog)

So, not much by way of normal housework today. BUT here's what I achieved.

    Airers cleared, clothes folded.
    Three washloads done.
    Bread is started for tomorrow.
Floors swept, ones that needed it, mopped.
    Surveys and comps done.

Here's the sucky thing though. My meal plan tonight....oooh, I was so looking forward to it. DH has been on lates, so tonight, the kids were having mac and cheese, and we were having, yummy, drooooolworthy, homemade curry.
So, at four o'clock, I decided to clean out a cupboard and reorganise it.

    Mouse muck.

Seven bags of pasta, and a few packets of noodles gone. Humph.
Then, we had to set about clearing and storing food elsewhere - solid containers etc, and setting traps.
Well, it got to six o clock, and we're still at it. Kids starving, so we ended up having a chippy. A. Bloomin. Chippy. £8, it cost us. I could cry.
We finished in the kitchen about half an hour ago.
Plus side? Kitchen cupboards are all sorted, clean and organised.
Downside? I'm still craving curry. I was so looking forward to it. DD wasn't impressed - she was looking forward to the mac and cheese, and they aren't that keen on takeaway.
And of course the extortionate price of £8 for a few cheapy sausages fried, and a few potatoes fried.

    Drat those meeces to pieces.

The sound of snip snap in the kitchen, will make my night. Grumbles.

Tomorrow, I'm going to continue with my washing (nearly all done now, yay)
We're going into town for some odds and ends.
Walk the dog, weather permitting. If it's raining or freezing she won't entertain it.
    Put clean laundry away.
    And just generally tidy :)
Proud to be dealing with my debts :T

Don't throw away food challenge started 30/10/11 £4.45 wasted.

    Evening

So glad the threads slowed down as I've read todays posts :D

Happy Birthday Hollyh, oh and my PC crashed on the same page as you posted about yours!

Mudbath - huge hugs. We faced a similar decision with one of our dear cats, spend £150 on an ultrasound for a "very sick cat" or let him go. My DS was 14 at the time and he said Mum I dont want him to be hurting or suffering anymore (it was his cat) so we discussed it then went round to the vets and all said our goodbyes before letting him go. It was very sad but we knew we had made the best decision for him, and I'm sure you will too.

lilysue - GF pizza for your son, did you top a ready made base or make the base. If so I'b be interested in how you made it

GnB - the maths problem flumoxed me even with the explanation

Pigpen - hope the WM isnt a big problem, and I want to see the bedroom pics, maybe we can compare again :rotfl:

lilme - Glad you had a good day (well until you got home anyway). When do you start planning your carrie van hols. DD keeps nagging us so we're now looking at tail end of feb half term for a long weekend at Kelling again

As for flying (to keep on track)

Work then hairdresser for a trim
    Back and cooked tea
    then errrr nothing
so a No fly day so far :p
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!
