Lost a post due to some kind of network hiccup at work... haven't managed to do much today other than clear up the mess I made when I got in

Woke up at 6 this morning, but failed to do anything as I had a migraine. Managed to get it under control and get to work almost on time :o . Had forgotten I was supposed to be giving blood (oops), but they didn't want it as I wasn't sure when (or whether) my gum infection went away, so that gave me half an hour of unexpected free time to catch up.

Then discovered that lunch was provided at the next meeting, so I needn't have bothered making my packed lunch this morning  . The rest of the day was pretty manic, but my last meeting finished on time, so I started leaving the office at 5... and finally left at 7  so it was a bit of a rush to get to my 7.45 yoga class... made it to the gym with 2 minutes to spare, so by the time I changed etc, I was only 5 minutes late.

Still, I've managed my macaw every day so far this week, which I'm really pleased about :j

DW is on, soup has been liquidised and is in pots and ready to go into the freezer tomorrow. Thought I might try to go to bed early again :rotfl:

milliejo - even if you've got mattress protectors, you need to hoover the mattress. And you need to wash the protectors too...

    mudbath ((((((hugs))))))

Toots - where are you? We need nagging... and updates on your ebay challenge... hope you haven't been overwhelmed by the piles of stuff :p

methekidsandthecats - as you'll see from the lists some of us post, when we're at work full time, we just do what we can to keep things under control first thing in the morning and last thing in the evening if we can. We tend to catch up at weekends, or when we have some time off. Even just doing a bit each day gradually improves things (I did my oven this way, and although it took several months, it's now lovely and shiny :D ), and it looks like you've made a good start.

I'm working from home tomorrow, so MAY manage to keep in touch and/or do some flying as well as some work, although I might have a friend coming over, still need to go to the gym to keep up with my macaw, and am going over to my brothers for supper & staying the night.

    Sleep well everyone!

I have just spent 2 hours on the phone to 4 different people.. my ear is BOILING and I think I have developed brain cancer from the radiation from the phone.. my poor wee head is pounding...

I have now persuaded the local authority they need to be looking at after scool care for secondary school age children.. so I don't have to have DS2 as a 'latch-key kid'.. in case he burns my hosue down .. AGAIN! lol .. I cannot cope with that level of cleaning!

The cooker cheque is STILL not here which mean it will be at least another 13 days will mean they owe me £3080 in food allowance money.. that'll pay off my credit card DD1's trip AND another huge bill.. I may just become very much in credit in terms of fuel!

Toots post please we are getting worried and we are missing you.

I am SO pleased - one of those 'dragging me down and I keep putting it off jobs' has been done (work paperwork sorted.) I now have an appreciation of how some of you struggle with ironing mountains - it's leaving the worst till last - well for me ironing isn't the worst - but paperwork is (some of it). So I did it and I didn't iron until 10pm! There's a lot to be said for leaving what you like until last.
Pots washed though ***glow*** and Friday errand prep done. DDs birthday meal booked (I will hover discreetly by the bar - she wants me there and is asking me to ask a friend so I am not lonely - pshaw - been single for nearly 5 years now). After the sorting I am feeling, not surprisingly, much less burdened. I have an awful habit, of a Weds evening, of flinging stuff into my bag and bringing it home to sort, which I never, or rarely, seem to do.
Gosh it's quiet on here now, of an evening...
