So, made pudding too.
Did four washloads today, and some handwash stuff.
Kitchen is cleared, ready for morning.
Hubs just got in and is eating his tea.
Tired, but satisfied. Things are really getting straightened out here, and it's keeping me sane :T

Sanity is the playground of the unimaginative!0 -
Since getting home I have emptied the DW and put stuff away, cleaned the filters and seals, and bunged in some soda crystals on a hot wash to clean it out!
...
I have also cleaned the fronts of all my appliances & emptied the kitchen bin (bin day tomorrow).
Please, tell me, how do you use soda crystals in a DW??
White goods are best cleaned with warm H2O and soda crystals ~ grease cutting and non-yellowing...very cheap too...good for marks on carpets as well...
Also, half soda c's and half washing powder = clean clothes (but only those that have been worn once or twice ~ this relates to hard water areas, to boot! )
Btw, this is one of the most affordable multi-purpose products for general purpose cleaning...if not the best!! At least it's only one product with which you are polluting the environment and it's less than 60p per kg. The only thing it does not agree with is sinks and the like...produces a stubborn residue. Good for unblocking 'tho
:money:
Buy Fairy dishwashing liquid (look out for offers!)....dilute about 2cm soap into used Fairy soap bottle ~ the rest is H2O. Squirt onto sponge/item and wash...you will see, this makes your 'concentrate' last a lot longer!

Wow - that's one long list!
Anyway, I was a terrible flylady today, and a worse mother - the children ended up with oven chips and a tin of hotdogs (kept in cupboard for days like today) for dinner :rotfl:. They loved it though! Going to make amends tomorrow and make SpagBol for them and Lasagne for OH for dinner. (Going to stretch mince with the soya stuff I found on sainsburys.com, if I can find the post that told me the amounts, or I'll just make it up as I go along):rotfl:. Only got Thurs and Fri to get everything up together as away this weekend with DS and my mother to Hampshire to visit my grandmother. Leaving OH with the girls so I have no idea what to expect when I get back, but I sincerely hope it's still clean and tidy around here or I may not be responsible for my actions .
Right, going to grab some shut-eye, will read posts and reply properly as a more sensible time

Good morning all.
Welshgirl - because the dog sleeps on my bed (tut tut, I know - but she's a lovely hot water bottle!) I find that if I don't wash the bedding every week, it ends up covered in so much hair, I end up coughing and spluttering!
Struggled to wake up this morning. Am sincerely hoping I can wangle tomorrow off. Need to phone upstairs' brother during the day and Pigpen's list when I get home.
Have a nice day ladiesI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

A hardware shop. I must admit I've never seen it in a supermarket.likklegibbon wrote: »Jenny - I recycle pressies all the time - at least someone will get the benefit of something that maybe just wasn't your taste - it would be more of a shame to bin them - Greenbee will be proud of you - she's our resident eco-warrior - remember 'reduce reuse recycle'
A few years ago I worked part-time in Littlewoods. After Christmas we would get the rush of people wanting refunds on pressies. A few times we had people bringing back stuff which they had been given, but didn't like, and sometimes the stuff would be so old that it was no longer on the system! (we are talking years old ) They would be really put out by the fact that a) they wouldn't get much, if any, refund, and b) that whoever had given it to them had obviously been given it themselves (and it had probably done a large circuit over the preceding years).OMG, it is so good to come back and see the Flylady thread still going strong, good on ya girls!!
Lovely to see you back Moggins. I think I started flying just before you handed it over to Pigpen, but I remember your posts on other threads too. Hope things are going better now - I seem to remember you going through a bit of a bad time which is why you had to leave.welshgirl78 wrote: »Now I don't want to get myself drummed off Flylady (or have people run away when I post)but do you all REALLY wash your sheets EVERY week? I can't see my motivation running to that - 2 weeks feels fine
:o:o am I gross?
Definitely change ours every week. Clean pjs for everyone every night too as I think that's more hygienic than changing them once a week (I wouldn't wear knickers for a whole week so why would I wear pjs all week)

You can buy liquid soda crystals which you can buy in hardware shops (at least you can in oursour Tesco used to sell them, but discontinued them long ago. I use them in the shower, and I'm sure they would be equally good in sinks.
Already done the dusting in the room I'm in - didn't want anyone to think I'm slacking off. I didn't get round to cleaning the shower yesterday, so will do it today.
I started on the OpenLearn free courses yesterday - French Revolution - and went to the library last night to see what books they had on the subject. One . I've got it out, so at least I'll get a bit more background on the subject. I've bookmarked loads of subjects which look interesting, so I'll probably be about 80 when I've finished them all :rotfl:0 -
Morning, didnt sleep well last night for some reason
So feeling a bit bleurgh, sure i'll feel better after a shower. LO has woken up with a cough and says she doesnt want to go to school:rolleyes: Needs to be more than just a cough before she gets a day off school! She's eating fine and isnt hot so i'm sure she'll be ok.
:hello:Hi moggins, wasnt here when you were first time round but i have been a flylady for a while and boy does it make a difference:D Welcome back.
Off for a shower now.
Would some of my fellow mathematicians(or anyone actually who likes puzzles!) fancy helping with part of my problem solving? Totally flumoxed by below problem, i know that the cars will spiral into the centre and crash after distance of 1 unit, i just dont know how to prove it! Feel free to PM me rather than clutter up the thread. Any help much appreciated:o
4 cars, with numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4, are situated at the corners of a
unit square (each side has length 1).
Each car drives to reach the next, i.e. 1 drives in the direction of 2, 2 in the
direction of 3, 3 in the direction of 4 and 4 in the direction of 1. All cars drive with
the same speed. This holds at any given point in time.
Show that the cars will eventually meet. How far will each car have driven once
they meet? The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
