You really need to make an appointment with the CSA, not easy I know but keep on at them. The "new rules" allow for set percentages for each child, for 1 it is 15% of net weekly income, i.e. after deducting tax and NI and pension contributions. This net income should then be reduced by 20% for the 2 children living with you and the 15% calculated from the new lower figure.
Not sure how the 2 living in Germany will affect things, as hobo said the families board will get you a wider opinion.
Good luck, the CSA was probably a good idea on paper but, in my experience, are awful in practice.0 -
Lets hope so then. Really scares me that she could just use this to try and ruin us again.0

i think you will find the csa are not being scrapped bur revamped with the added hope that some couples will come to an understanding when it comes to payments they will go after those not paying or not willing to pay a decent amount and they will be involved from the very start if the parent with the children is claiming benefits etc0

Calley speaks a lot of sense.
Lone Ranger - two divorced parents; both work part time, both have their 3 children 50% of the time, on alternate weeks as this is what the children want.
Who should pay maintenance to the other?0 -

THE_LONE_RANGER wrote:point taken but what you qoute is not the norm in the main mother has the children and works part time some times full ,dad has the kids every other weekend ,he should pay the money as decided by csa or court ,if the other way around same does actually apply.0

Ive not read through 4 pages so I guess someones said this- they have calculated it by deducting your income by 15% and then taking 15% of that new amount. I'm having same thing with my ex who's g/f might be pregnant0

Lone Ranger - you took my point but didn't answer the question. It may not be the norm for parents to have shared care, in fact you are correct it isn't, and the CSA and courts can't handle it when it happens because it doesn't happen often enough.
So I'll tell you what happens, they still treat the father as a second class citizen and he still has to pay maintenance to the mother EVEN IF the mothers household income is significantly higher than his.
The question still remains, who SHOULD pay maintenance in that situation?0 -
