rubbish benefit claiments are not better off they have the minimum to live off as stated by the government in at the time ,i would not like to live off what they get and do not envy the people that do have to live of it, the idea they are better off than a worker is rather silly a couple on benefits in rented accomodation would get help towards rent and help toward council tax and an allowance for themselves as in hard cash in there hand, what they get i spend on 1 weeks grocerys and a few bottles of wine this life of luxury is a pure myth ,and should they get more ? no ,encourage back to work through tax credits and make work pay the same idea works in the usa uk australia and canada it works

And when you combine all those things with the op's orginal statement that he is in the same position albeit £30 better off and he has to go out to work six days a week, I think the question that was being mooted was "where is his incentive to get up and go to work tomorrow?"

The sad fact is that as absent fathers we are expected to pay any and every amount demanded of us for our children, if not we are branded as reprobates for merely questioning the basis on which these sometimes crazy calculations are made, fairness does not come into it, the well being of any new family members does not come into it, the only consideration given is that the mother is not dependant on the state and if that means the fathers current family has to suffer then so be it.

Just because we are no longer present doesn't mean we shouldn't question the demands made on us as absent fathers, yes pay our way and support our children but not to the detriment of other family members.

Why should the op's current family suffer because he had a previous relationship that produced children?

pay your mortgage i dont think so interest only is paid so after 3 months your house is on the market and your debt is growing , a family with 2 kids would get £125pweek cash in the hand they still have to pay a part of there rent and part of there council tax £60 food bill, then theres gas electric water rates all have to come out of that, no benefits are given to pay them so i think the word skint comes to mind as to why are so many on it 1.2 million are unemployed out of 59 million people unemployed people in general are out of work for around 3 months the rest are the poorly skilled and the unemployable and yes the bone idle are in there too,we have 2 million claiming incompacity benefit this lot are being dealt with and in 5 years will be slashed as they will be helped back in to work ,and yes some can live on the small amount given ,but what are they getting out of life the odd game of bingo or lottery 20 fags and a few drinks down the pub wow what a life to wish for

They do not have to pay rent, nor council tax, as they are entitled to full benefits, (unless the rent is higher than what the council deems as allowable), and I have just come of Income support and as a result I am £50 a week worse off. So this comes from someone who has recently done it.

So what you are saying is that fathers are not allowed to have a life. Which means falling in love and having other children with another woman if that is wish.

But it is ok for the mother to get re-married and have as many children as she likes. Even if effects the quality of life of her first children.

Let alone the fact that just because the mother has the children living with her mean that it seems that she is absolved of all financial responsbility with the CSA. When surely it is about 50/50.

Also pray tell. How does a father have enough money to buy or rent a house big enough to have his children come and stay with him if he has very little left over after the CSA have had there cut. He will then be told he is a waste of space and not good enough father.

Men are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

Also you will find most men are happy to pay for their children. But they do need enough to live though.

    Yours
