Personally I suspect if this were a country where men automatically got custody, how many women would suddenly not pay each month? I reckon the numbers would be the same and so its not all down to the fact men are irresponsible.

I thought exactly the same when I read it yesterday, but it will be given a fleeting mention and then will be followed by, "Think of the children". The status quo rumbles on.

Personally if the boot was on the other foot and i was the NRP, i would walk over burning coal to have contact, i wouldn't just walk away and pretend he does not exist! and i would support my child no matter what sacrafices i would have to make.

Why because i have a heart, my son is my flesh and blood and it's about time these NRP's who simply walk away get a huge kick up the a$$

Absolutely Zara! I would be the same! My hubby who is the father of my 2 other children would kie for his children and would do everything in his power to ensure they were maintained properly and would pay without ever me having to ask - why? Because he loves his children it's as simple as that. He cannot understand the thinking of my ex who denies his daughter everything and would watch her live in poverty quite happily whilst he lives in a beautiful village! He hates me so much that he thinks that it gets to me that he doesn't pay - he really doesn't understand that he is denying his child. Actually, he probably does because he told her he doesn't want her!
