Am I Getting There???????

I have been following another thread discussing Halifax wanting to start charging overdrafts by the day?

They are starting to do this with a particular account Feb09 but are wanting it to be effective with all accounts 2009.

My first thoughts were "oh f***" as I have overdraft of £3500.

I think they were going to charge £1 per day for overdrafts £2500 and less and £2 per day for overdrafts £2500 and over??????

So, this puts me in a bit of a pickle
should I pay overdraft first?
credit card first?
or, try to clear both at the same time?

I hate Halifax!!!!!!:mad:

I am trying to debt bust and they are moving the goal posts.

Hi folks,
well I ended up spending a grand total of £12 today so very pleased with that.

Got all housework done, ironing totally up to date and I have just stuck the dinner in the oven for hubby dearest coming home from a hard day at work:p

If I have his dinner ready there is less chance of us ending up with a takeaway for dinner:rolleyes:

I am planning on another no spend day tomorrow and on Thursday as there is nothing that I can think of what we need so that will be 3 no spend days this week- Mon, Wed, Thurs.
I also aim to have NSP on Friday and -I am working on saturday so we shall see what OH spends

I am finding that having this diary is really helping me and I am sorry if you guys all find it boring:o

Morning All,

today I am having another no spend day- yipee.
Just found out that my weekend with the girls is due to be paid (£210) 20th March:rolleyes: so I have £210 to raise by then (ebay)

I have 6 things on ebay just now and I am aiming to make £60 with that lot so thats defo a good start for me. I am also aiming to get my spending money (I need about £300) by doing ebay and I need to get that by end of May.
Its a great challenge and I AM GOING TO DO IT!!!!!

Having another morning of cleaning, tidying etc while wee one is at nursery and then I have promised him that we will do finger painting this afternoon- why do I agree to these things?xxxxx

well so far so good, I am having another no spend day so far this week I have spent £12.00:j although I do need petrol so I will stick £10 in and that will do me until I get paid on Tuesday and I will fill tank right up -hate doing that!! but, that will probably be my petrol for the next month as I dont cover much distance!!!

Get paid on Tuesday so my plan is
virgin credit card- £152(council tax money)
£250(wages)
so that will take my card down to approx £1000
have a direct debit of £50 coming out as well to Virgin so £950.

All going well with MOT (if it doesnt cost more than £100) will have another minimum of £170:j :j to throw at credit card, taking card down to £780-Fingers crossed!!!

Got stuff on ebay and all the stuff is getting watched and 1 has a bid but thats the money for my weekend away (need £210 by 20th March)

I will be putting more on ebay Sunday so I will get there, jst wish it was a faster process:D

Well I have only spent £11 this weekend and that was for petrol yesterday yipee.

So I have only spent £23 this week- I cant believe that I have spent so little. Its all thanks to you guys on mse for advice on shopping, cooking etc. You have all been so inspiring!!
I also made £52 on ebay today:j :j and managed to get more stuff on so I am aiming for another £60 next Sunday!!:D

Back to work full time tomorrow and I can see it far enough :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Well I am back to work and getting debt free:j

I have just paid £400 to Virgin credit card and should hopefully have another few hundred depending on MOT- will find out mid Feb.

Just paid my mum back another £50 as well.

I WAS DESPERATE TO PAY JUST TO POST IT ON MSE:D

I have made £50 on ebay and I have lots on and lots of bids:j I am hoping to be able to pay all the holiday off by the end of this month :T

I have a load on ebay so I am just hoping that does well. I have signed up for the ebay challenge so fingers crossed.

I am still totally motivated I sit making notes at night of what to pay and when so I am on track so far:j

I have paid another £50 to the yucky virgin card today so reduced it to £950 :j :j sooo pleased with that.

I have been doing ebay so I have £200 getting transferred to my bank account so I am thinking of flinging that at credit card- was going to pay for my weekend away with that but that doesnt have to be paid until mid march???

My car getting its 1st MOT on Friday so hopefully there wont be too much needing done. Again, I have money put aside for that so I should have about £200 left over all going well- fingers crossed!

So, thats another potential £400 to the credit card. I am getting obsessed and it cant be healthy:rolleyes:

I am really excited about clearing this card but then its the dreaded overdrafts turn- I am NOT looking forward to that:mad: :mad:
