I'm so glad that you were able to have those last moments with your son in your arms in the way you did and the fact that he was able to say, through his actions, that he wanted you with him. That's very precious.
Thinking of you with much love and many hugs

I've been thinking about your little boy, you and your family all weekend, since your post, and wondering how you were doing. It sounds like the most impossible situation was made more bearable for you. Given an option, how things transpired would be how I would have preferred it to be. Treasure those memories of his cuddles and smiles, they will sustain you a lifetime.
I know you feel quite numb now, but on a practical level, don't be at all surprised if your grief suddenly hits you like a brick wall further down the line. It could take weeks, months, even years, and quite possibly not even triggered by anything in particular. If you feel at all like you aren't coping very well in the future, please take care of yourself, and go for a chat with your GP, or call Cruse. Sometimes all we need is a listening ear.
This is may be 'just' a forum, but the contributors here all want to care for you and yours right now, and do post with any of your feelings or worries. You only need to take a look at 'Stormybay's thread to see how remarkable the support can be.
