Oh god, I have no idea how you must be feeling but I know he is looking down on you now and wants you to be happy. He is no longer in pain and I know that words can't mean anything in this situation, but I wanted you to know that we are all thinking of you and if/when you need to talk, come on here and we will try to help.
lots of hugs

"I'll lend you for a little while,
A child of mine," God said.
For you to love then, while he lives,
And mourn for when he's dead.
It may be six or seven years,
Or twenty-two or -three,
But will you, ‘til I call him back,
Take care of him for Me?
He will bring his charms to gladden you,
And should his way be brief,
You'll have his lovely memories,
As solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay,
Since all from earth return.
But there are lessons taught below,
I want this child to learn.
I looked this wide world over,
In search of teachers true,
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes
I have selected you.
Now will you give him all your love,
Nor think the labour vain,
Nor hate me when I come to take
This lent child back again."
I fancied that I heard them say,
"Dear Lord, thy will be done."
For all the joys thy child shall bring,
The risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter them with tenderness,
We'll love them while we may.
And for the happiness we've known
Forever grateful stay.
But should the angels call for him
Much sooner than we've planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes
And try to understand.

What an amazing, and brave lady, and what a remarkable little boy.
Your little boy is at peace now with no more suffering. I can't imagine how you must be feeling now, but take comfort with the thoughts of the last moments you spent with him.
You have done an amazing job keeping going for your little one, how you've done it I don't know, but it shows what a fabulous mummy you are. Stay strong for your daughter, she will need you, but don't be afraid to ask for help in your time of need.
Thinking of you all. RIP little one xxxx96 items decluttered so far in 20130 -

That poem is absolutely beautiful, my mum was given a copy of it back in 1969, her 1st daughter died at 18 months old of cancer, I never got to meet her, but in respect for my sisiter, my daughter is named after her.
