This is courtesy of Weightwatchers - serves 4 (medium portions - I make more so I can have bigger portions and/or freeze)
NB I have adapted this to my taste but its quite flexible.
500g large potatoes (Maris Piper etc)
5 tablespoons of milk
450g mince (any type)
150 ml (1/4 pt) stock (any type)
300ml Jar of any tomato based pasta sauce
Worcestershire Sauce (optional) I tend to add honey, or BBQ to make it a bit sweeter - to taste before you put the mash on the top.
Salt and Pepper to taste
I also add grated carrots, onion, chopped mushrooms and frozen peas for added nutrients.
OK, will save this and then do the instructions separately as it would not save last time x2013 TARGET £30k

MFW 2012 No.148:£1600 / £450.00
Mortgage - 102,57.160 -
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Cook the potatoes in boiling water (peeled and cubed) for 12-15 mins or until tender.
2. Drain and mash with the milk and salt and pepper to taste (some people add a knob of butter too).
3. Dry fry (or fry in oil) the mince in a large non-stick pan for 5 mins (until brown) Stir in the stock, pasta sauce and Worcestershire sauce (I would add the other veggies here too) and simmer for 10 mins until the mince is tender. Season to taste.
4. Spoon the mince and sauce into a shallow flameproof dish and cover with the mash potato evenly. Place under the grill for about 5 mins until the top is brown. (You can make it a bit richer by sprinkling grated cheese on the top before putting it under the grill).
This takes in total about 1/2 hr. Not bad!

Well good afternoon everyone... here's what I might get up to/have done already:
- BingoPorting (far too much time already today!)
- Free scratchies - 20p
- Get out of bed - not quite managed that one yet
- Do one load of washing
- Sort out recycling to get Green clubcard points
- Fill up my washer bottle with winter screenwash so it doesn't freeze again!
- Maybe brave a walk to the post box to post MS receipts + mobile to cashinmyphone
- Finish work started during week and email into work ready for the morning, hmm, this one is quite important so I don't get the sack
So a pretty lazy day really, might top it off by watching some DVDs!0 -
hello!!
how did it get so late??? i have been busy!
- cleaning house
- sorting paperwork
- all food today from stores
- put little cat out on his lead for fresh air - also helps not having him underfoot when tidying!
BUT... my best thing for today was receiving a phone call from the local fire service who are coming round tomorrow to assess the house and install any smoke alarms that are required - for free!!!! two smoke alarms have gone funny and beep all the time so that is excellent and i get firemen in the bargain too!!!!!
will have to get my best coffee out to offer them drinks!!!
loki xit's nice to be important but more important to be nice!! :kisses3:0 -
Yeehay.
I've finally unblocked the water system in my van. Got rid of the final remnants of ice near the pump. Can go earn some proper money at last. I thought I sorted it once but it went wrong again. Been out in the back of that van swearing and cursing LOL (not too loud cos of neighbours) and finally got there. Dashing out now to get a little bit done while I can still see what I'm doing.
I've been shown how to stop it re-freezing too so hopefully that will work.
So, my daily DFW thing is go to work on a Sunday afternoon after working hard to fix my work tools.
Also, there were several items that I needed for some personal care and home (need also means making life a bit more convenient LOL). Anyway, I used up the Argos voucher I got for Xmas. Had to spend a little bit more too, but not much as I don't think stores give change for those things.
Off to work now
