Hi all

I've just update a load of drivers (thanks to DriverMax) and was told to reboot.
It's now taking forever to start up in normal mode after clicking on an account and then won't get any further than showing the desktop with the icons. It won't even show the usual icons in the system tray by the clock.

I can get on here using Safe Mode with Networking but that's about it.
I'm also getting 4 long beeps and 2 short ones after the desktop has been on for so long.

Any help gratefully received.

BTW, managed to find todays error log if it helps anybody:-

I think it's a Pheonix - is there anywhere I can check without rebooting?

If you know WHICH drivers they were, systematically uninstall them one by one until you can boot up again

I really have no clue mate. Not something ive ever tried before. Personally speaking, I leave ALL drivers well alone unless I feel they 'need' updating

This appears to be the list of drivers I updated :-
    Tul Corporation, RADEON 9250 Secondary
    Tul Corporation, RADEON 9250
VIA Bus Master IDE Controller – 0571
    CNXT V9x PCI Modem
VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter
Vinyl AC'97 Codec Combo Driver (WDM)
    VIA Standard Host Bridge
    VIA CPU to AGP2.0/AGP3.0 Controller
VIA Standard PCI to ISA Bridge

Tried a System Restore but it didn't make any difference.

Just one quick mention on System Restore - I can't get back before this month so I don't know if that's actually working correctly either.
