    That would be you then:

I said bus restricted area, you jumped in and said bus lane, I replied being polite.

Someone upset you today??, Am I just being your punchbag??

You have been nothing but obnoxious to me from your first post...

Oh well, I suppose if you are having a go at me, you are leaving someone else alone..

    Have a good day!

PCN says stopped when in fact as vehicle was not left unattended, then should be classed as "waiting"..

Appeal notice being sent from her company.

If this is the first offence and if you have mitigating circumsntaces, my expereience tells me that Camden Council normally overlooks if this is the first time the so called "offence" has been committed, with warning that you would not be excused next time.

Appeal can be sent via email and you should have response quickly.

Normally in majority of PCNs issued, you only pay half the fine if you pay say within 14/21 days or appeal within this time scale.

Different councils operate different policies whether an appeal is considered ground for paying half the fine if the appeal is rejected. So make sure what the rule is.

I agree she quite clearly said 'bus restricted area' so it was clearly a stop/stand.
It was just a bit unfortunate that there happened to be a bus lane nearby so she mentioned it when you raised the irrelevant issue.
on a bus stop/stand not being visible - hmmmmm, maybe an angle but he would need to go and check and get pics of his own.
On 1m 32S I just think you are basing that on the stills they have sent. they have video too remember?
On payment issues. You have indeed misread - try again. if it really says what you say it says then it is rubbish and invalid - but I know it doesn't.

you really need to get it up here.

Madness! Very few Solictors have any knowledge about parking legislation!!!

There can be all kinds of flaws on the PCN and they won't spot them!!!!

Already they are acting wrongly - you may not stop at all on a bus stop/stand!

Normally/maybe/if/mightbe <<<<<< see what I mean Gloomy! - and goes on to quote two timescales that are neither specifically in line with the legislation or correct.

    then put his hazards on

That allows any motorist to where they want for however long they want doesn't it?
It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical
  • he was not on a bus lane, this is quite clear in the picture, they have just sent pictures of the street. Apparently it was in a bus stop area.

Pay the fine. There is no stopping in a bus stop either to park or wait for any length of time unless you're a driving a bus.

Your sister being a solicitor means absolutely nothing unless she specialises in road traffic law. My brother is a solicitor but his field is in contractual law. What he knows about the road traffic act you could write on the back of a stamp.

The vehicle was stopped as in stationary regardless of whether your OH was in it. Stopped means not moving. It was pictured NOT MOVING.

Pay the fine. The only thing your sis in law is going to achieve is making sure it goes up £60.

  • Did the bus stop/clearway have a sign indicating the restriction? They do require one and if it did not then you will have a more valid argument for cancellation.

And as for the bus lane, we are fully aware of those, since he received a £120 fine 12 months ago by moving into a bus lane to let an ambulance pass, and even though on pictures it was seen the ambulance passing lots of vehicles in the bus lane, we still paid, needless to say now, we DO NOT move into bus lanes for anyone anymore!!!! They must have made over a grand just from vehicles being kind hearted and letting the ambulance pass!

Sorry to go OT but I'm just wondering what the experts make to this one. I'd definately do the same as the OP and I wonder what the consequences would be if a similar 'offence' was appealed?

    Cheers,

    S.
