  • I couldn't wait any longer...so booked flights for me, DH, DD and DS to New York next August for 10 days!! Only problem is now I need to book somewhere for us to stay.... I'd really appreciate any suggestions for 2 adults and 2 teenagers (girl 17 years and boy 15 years) because I don't think they will appreciate sharing a room with mum and dad ...

Not looking for anything too fancy, as we only need somewhere to rest our weary heads after busy days sightseeing and dunking doughnuts ;)

    Thanks

The Belleclaire does a sort of suite with two rooms in that I think works out pretty good value...google it - its on UWS so not your usual tourist place but clean and basic and cheap (for NY anyway ;))

I stayed in the cheaper rooms there in April and it was fine for me, but wasnt plush.
  • Anyone else addicted to the webcams around NY?

Ive been checking the Times Square one by TGI's for weeks now we go in 2 wks, Im amazed that somedays poeple are all wraped up against the cold and then the next day they are in t-shirts and short sleeve shirts! Thought it might give me an idea of what to pack (big coat/jacket) but im still as baffled, think its gonna have to be layers.
My mind tends to wander............If found please return;)

    I can spell...................I just cant type:confused:

staybrid"G"e suite i think you need to get it in writing that the hotel will be finished fully when you arrive and your holiday wont be impaired by banging and painting they have changed the goalposts since youve booked so you may be entitled to a full refund. They have a duty of care to you and your party good luck

It was quite changeable when we were there (early Nov), the evenings were windy and cold, but we had some beautiful days.
