Ladies, your projects are fantastic!
I have been trying to teach myself to crochet and whilst I can do the basic stitch I can't do anymore than the first row! I have watched various youtube videos but they haven't helped - can anyone recommend a good site please?0 -
This is an old pattern my mum used when I was a baby and I've done it quite a few times over the years but still enjoy it14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140

Well I have been experimenting again!! Lucy at attic24 has posted a fab pattern for daffs, and I kind of made up a primrose, I was going to make an Easter Wreath, but whilst in asda I saw they were selling yellow straw bonnets for £1!!!! so I got one, and i squished the crown in, plan was to put a candle in for a table centre, but candles and straw bonnet may not be a good mix!!! The I remembered that I have some coloured strandy packaing I kept from a parcel!! so have used the yellow and added some choccy eggs
stitched on the flowers, It is still a work in progress just now!! but just had to share :j

I have just been going through some papers that were my grandmothers, and have found some crochet patterns that must be from late 40's / early 50's...."Aunty C McB-Wik"

I love the clanger - do you have the pattern for it?
My mum made me one from an old sock as featured on Blue Peter but when I went to Uni I told her to throw away all my soft toys (me being a grown up then!). I missed it later and asked her if she happen to have kept it and she was really upset that she had taken me at my word.
I'm trying to get back into crochet and this would be a great thing to make'...it is only kindness that makes sense anymore ' Naomi Shihab Nye0 -
I finally got round to teaching myself basic crochet just before Christmas. I decided to do Granny squares and did a cot overblanket for my granddaughter. Not perfect but quite pleased with myself.0
