both me and my partner have cancelled theatre cards which means an extra £40 per month. nearly £500 a year saved towards a 2nd deposit! We hardly went enough to warrant them anyway...
  • Have just knocked 7 months off the term of my mortgage with an OP. Won't be able to make another OP (except small bits) until August '10. But it's still a great feeling.

Hope you all have a great Christmas......and a very Merry Christmas to me:D
  • I owe 51,439 and would dearly love to pay this off over the next three years.

I'm excited because my annual statement should be here anytime. I always find it exciting to look at. Not least because the last 2 have shown that I've reduced my mortgage by more than I calculated.

Only by a hundred quid or so...but better in my pocket than theirs!!
Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
    % of house owned/% of mortgage paid off. July 25 - 38.82%/31.66%

Can't wait to make my overpayment this week.
  • I will be making my first overpayment in January. My hubby gets paid on 15th of each month, so the plan is to overpay on the Friday before the 15th of each month. Here's hoping I can stick to it and see a nice big chunk paid off by this time next year :j
