    Hi all
I'm a bit of a lurker here really, but just had to post that I have my first £20 to put in my overpayment pot as my clarinet teacher is off for 2 weeks at xmas.

    Feels good.

hello there - wonder if anyone can point me in the direction of a calculator that can show me how much I need to overpay each month/year to bring down my repayment mortgage to the level I posted? Have been searching on MSE and googled it but no luck so far. Will just help me work out what my goal really is each month. Thanks

Hi, I have a spreadsheet that I think FinancialBliss sent to me, or at least a formula to set it up. I can't remember if this is right though.

Hopefully someone will be along soon who can remember who designed the spreadsheet.

If you put Locoblade into the search facility at the top of this page you will get an excellent spreadsheet.

You can also put Brett Mortgage Calculator into google and you will find a way to calculate your mortgage in many different ways.
  • I use Locoblade's calculator also. Had tried a couple of others previously but this one (I think) is the best.........It's addictive though!

There's hopefully a few useful odds 'n' ends linked from page 1 of my diary...

One of them is this sheet:
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=16772703&postcount=712

Not going to be massively accurate, as it's only using two values for the mortgage for the year, but it's a fun little sheet to try out.
