Popping in to report that our total we owe the world figure is £2301.28 :j:j:j

This will more than likely be the last time I report though as we are about to move house and mortgage will be going up again ever so slightly!:rotfl:

Can't believe this challenge is almost over. Had chat with other half last week and we've decided to throw the final pot of savings at the mortgage in an attempt to get rid of it all this year.

Fingers crossed that there are no major expenses looming on the horizon (although we can always request the overpayments back if that happens).

As always, huge thanks to FB & Maz.

Watching your diary regularly FB and willing you on from the sidelines - really hope that you achieve your goal by 12/12/12.
  • Drumroll .... come on its the 12th hope you are not waiting too long to find out :T

    Happy 12/03/12 everyone

    I made my regular/budgeted OP on 1st but I've just OP'd another £400 today.

£200 is from my savings - leaving myself a little exposed there but couldn't resist
£200 is really next months budgeted OP brought forward by the magic of spreadsheet accounting - not sure what I will actually OP next month but am sure I will be able to scrape something together even it's not my usual full amount.

As today's payment won't be reflected in my online mortgage balance until tomorrow at the very earliest, I'm calculating my balance as follows:-

    Bal today £28158.36
    Plus 13 days interest £36
    Less todays payment £400
Expected new balance of around £27795

Which is just £2305.00 away from my 12/12/12 target

.....off to update googledocs. Cheers everyone

ps. based on the amount I originally borrowed and the amount I still owe, I now own 50.24% of my house :D

Based on Land Registry movements in house prices since I bought my house, I've calculated my LTV as 26.55%. If I hadn't been OP'ing then this would look more like 39%

    Hi all,

Just a quick note to say things never turn out as planned. Was hoping to get the remainder of the updates applied last night and considered publishing chart 09 at around 11pm - that was the plan, but we got company and the alcohol flowed

So, that leaves completing the chart this evening so I'm going to estimate that I'll not be done before 8.30pm - kids to sort out 'n' all.

    Hope that's ok.

    .

    Hope that's ok.

No it's not. Ignore your friends. Cold shoulder your wife. Give up the booze. Abandon your Kids. Ring in sick. Get your priorities straight and sort out the spreadsheet for a load of saddo real life strangers who are all frothing at the bit to find out how they're doing even though they already have a good idea as to how they're doing but still need some affirmation from the great FB in any case.

Joking - have a glass of wine whilst you're doing it later.

Not intending to single out curlygirl, but just a good one to quote... :rotfl:

    You lot are so patient.

Well, drum roll to the three quarter mark - here's the updated chart 09:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?hl=en_GB&hl=en_GB&key=0AnhcWfGMRVgddGtzMTdvS1VnNXUwakpPc3NjZzRHMVE&single=true&gid=44&output=html

I seriously can't believe there are so many of you under £10k - and quite a few just about to clear their mortgages.

You should know the drill by now - check your entry and if it's incorrect - another update and a comment or a PM and I'll correct.

We've paid just short of a quarter of a million off in this chart alone and there's only 3 charts remaining.

Probbaly won't get chart 10 out until tomorrow, but you can still update chart 09 via the updates form, should you have missed so far.

Thanks again everyone for your support and comments! Keep up the good work - finish line will be here before we know it...
