Just updating now £27450 :), was working out our daily interest its £1.24 a day this month, looking back to last year it was £2.80, the year before £4.11, obviously the interest rate has helped us a lot I think on our old fixed rate it was about £15 a day. Good luck everyone :)
Mortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!
Now just over 2 years we have taken on the challenge again! )(starting £237k Nov 2014) Current mortgage £232,399.82, current overpayment total £1550, years remaining= 17

Heads in a whirl at the moment. As we have reduced our mortgage to 2.5% interest am thinking we should build up more savings and also whether DH should salary sacrifice his pay down under the 40% tax level to pay a lot more into his pension. From the calculators I think we will be £200 a month down in income but will add £5000 extra into pension for the year.

It's frustrating but it seems sensible to stop overpayments for the time being until we decide what to do.

Well, well, well. That 3 months went a bit blinking quick didn't it?
Life here at the kaz household is ticking along nicely. We're very much looking forward to our holiday in August. I have done some ebaying this year to make money towards the holiday spending. I actually cannot wait until we get rid of the mortgage now. Life is just going to becaome so expensive for us from September as DS starts junior school. Actually, it's starting now. He's not long started cubs and they have 3 camps this year. That's fantastic but it all comes at a cost. Mind you, DD's gutted she chose to go the Guides route having seen and heard what they do at Cubs and Scouts.
DD has got school camp in October and it's going to cost £200 . I really need to pull my finger out and get some extra shifts booked in at work don't I :o?
Right, I'm just away to update my snowball... and then my signature. Then I'll update through google docs.
So total owing £18372.92. Repaid so far £34483.67 74.96% of £46000 target repaid.
Have also just seen that my mortgage company have a Q&A section so asked if they do online mortgage balance visibility. It had an answer so I'm going to ring them to see if I can view my balance online. That has made me very excited!
