That said, are you going to do some further analysis again like you did for charts 1 - 4, at some point?

Yes! Had thought about these at some point, but they slipped off my radar. Will do a second analysis chart for charts 5-8 and a third analysis chart for charts 9 to 12. Will try and get these done over the holiday period.

  • We're totally out of sync with the rest of the world - we've decided to have Christmas Day today, as the kids have five more days with us before they go to their Mum's. This way, we have ages to play together with new toys and games, and eat all the leftovers! Having said that, I've not actually made the Christmas cake yet...

Quite happy with MF progress, OH is off to Afghanistan for 6 months early in Jan, so whilst lots of things will be hard, he shouldn't be able to [STRIKE]waste[/STRIKE]spend much money!

    So, happy Christmas everyone!:xmastree:

    Hi everyone

Just realised we forgot to update in December but nothing's changed as the mortgage saving's come to a grinding halt lately. (I sent an update). We decided to have a family summer holiday to Turkey next summer so any extra money is going towards that.
However, we come out of a high fixed rate in April so should be able to overpay after that and maybe catch up a bit.

It's highly unlikely we'll hit our target by December 12 but had we not joined this challenge we'd have not paid off the £5700 we've already paid off. But it would be lovely to get the mortgage down to £40K . Mayble we'll win the lottery.!!

    Good luck everyone.

  • Happy New Year, Rosie Tiger and everyone else

I'm currently perusing the John Lewis website for new kitchen appliances, so my savings will be taking a hit shortly (but my kitchen will look lovely - painting my current timber units so quite MSE really!).

Off to update my sig now...

I have not been here for a while (No 46) but have been continuing to make overpayments during the year of 2011. My final balance as at 31st December was £97994.53 so I bet my final aim by year 2. I will try to remember to update in march if I can and hope to continue to overpay a bit in 2012 as now on maternity leave so things will be tighter than usual and got my hands full at the moment with a 4 week old baby.

    Happy new Year to everyone.

    Overpayments 2006-2009 = £11985; 2010 = £6170, 2011 = £5570, 2012 = £1290
