Just popping in to say hello after reading a few pages of posts. Reading all your inspirational messages keeps me motivated and it makes me realise that even small amounts saved can help.

This year we don't have a holiday booked but our big expense will be getting DS17 through his driving test and possibly helping him buy a car and insurance etc...... I know we don't have to and it's not a necessity but our parents did it for us and he has been working PT since he was 13 unlike some of his mates. Anyway now I'm rambling!

Good luck everyone. I'm looking forward to getting the mortgage statement this year as we changed to repayment last October so we should start to see the balance really start to come down.:T
Mortgage Free in 3 part 2 challenge - pay off £9000
    Sealed Pot Challenge 416 - target £500
  • Just as I'd re-arranged our accounts to be able to pay a bit more off both the mortgage and outstanding credit card (only 1 left!), dear Hubby's car packs up. He's hoping for a Toyota AYGO Go and with a serious amount of re-arranging - AGAIN - I think I can pull it off. Dang & blast it all!!!
:( Struggling too much wears a body out

    Evening all,
Jock well done, and Queen bee, fantastic news for you :j

Well I've booked a holiday:o to Switzerland, with my new boyfriend :D but i'm not feeling to bad about it because of the o/p's that i have made and i'm due some child maintenance that i've never had before so this year is looking quite good. I've decided that whatever i spend on my holiday i have to pay into the mortgage as extra. I've always wanted to go to Switzerland and its a good excuse for me to start getting into shape with all the mountains that I'm after climbing.
Happy New year to everyone, lets make it a good one:D

Yes, can't wait to see the official statement either. Seems to make it more realistic getting it in the post rather than over the phone!!!

    Mortgage-free Glee!
    Hi Guys

Just looking through the chart summary and there are at least 50 people that have no updates at all - maybe it would be a good time to have a "spring clean" and tidy up the list?
