• Hi all,

Just a quick note regarding Chart 01.

For future charts, the link will be a new one that you will not have previously known about, so I will be able to update future charts and then publish without you all seeing the data in advance.

But for Chart 01, it's link is already known, so every time I do an update, Google automatically refresh the published web page which is the Chart 01 data.

So, to allow me to update the chart without anyone getting a sneak preview ;), I've just stopped publishing Chart 01. Google shows this message:

We're sorry.

The publishing options given are not valid. Please check the options and try again.

But that's just me, switching off the publishing. ;)

I've put some info on the "Announcements" post - see post #3 of this challenge thread for further details.

There's still 3 weeks yet until 12th March, so no great rush for your update, but if you provide a mortgage update, then subsequently do an overpayment, then feel free to provide another mortgage update and I'll take the most recent one.

Great to see so many of you are doing so well.

Hi guys - an update from me for those who don't read my DFW diary.

My husband left me, without warning, a few weeks ago - and so obviously I have had a lot to think about, and do, both on an emotional and a hugely practical level.

As a result, the mortgage is to be transferred to me, as I take on sole responsibility for the house and all things financial. I received the formal offer from the building society yesterday, so very soon I will be formally doing this challenge on my own, rather than as part of a couple.

I have been reworking my general household budgets over the last couple of weeks, and playing around with the mortgage calculators and the snowballs, and have come up with a provisional set of figures that I think I can work with, certainly in the early days, without putting too much pressure on me.

I have amended my challenge target accordingly, as my original was based on two full time salaries, but so that it is still a challenge for me, albeit not as pressurised as my original challenge may have been!

FB has kindly amended this for me, and I expect I will be a little behind on the first reporting, as I have also got legal fees etc to pay which I would otherwise have paid towards the debt, but hey ho......I will catch up, and hopefully I will exceed my new target, putting me in good stead for MFiT take 3!

• We all know what a source of inspiration you are to us all Hypno. I am sure you will make great strides with this as you have done so already with reducing your debt. You are so right life does present us with what we aren't expecting and we have to cope one way or the other.

For what its worth many of us have trouble with the emotional stuff...

• With our first chart just around the corner, I've had a look at people in this challenge without an objective and I think they are as follows:
• willow girl
• jnielow
• emma_nottingham
• Frugal Fox
• Optimisticpair
• yam
• madonsaving
• Jenna
• Hurdler
Due to the number of people in the challenge, it may be that your original objective was "lost" in the PM's and updates that were flying around.

I've just sent a private message (PM) to each of you asking if you have an objective / would you like to still be in the challenge?

If you can provide an objective, I'll happily add you to post #1 and the chart data.

Thanks,
Financial Bliss / Maz123.

Hypno, my thoughts are with you. I've been there but keeping focused on something really helps and in my opinion the finances are one of the best things to focus on.

Typical. I can either publish all pages in the spreadsheet, or just 1. You can't publish all sheets except 1 sheet, so as cake21 kindly pointed out, the mortgage free roll of honour chart was no longer visible.

I've done a workaround, such that the roll of honour, who's updated and chart 01 are all visible, but the chart 01 information won't be visible until 12th March. :D

Thanks,
FB.
