I hate to admit it, but it's worked on me.

Barclaycard was my first credit card. I got it in 1992 when I started University. Over the years the interest rate has fluctuated and got quite high at one point. So I asked them to reduce it. They did, but it's crept back up to 14.9%.

The most annoying thing is it used to have lots of benefits, but they have all but disappeared now. I know I should cancel it, as I have cards with better rates, but I'm attached to it. Truthfully, the main reason I have kept it was the fee free, lob, bt rate. But now I'm not using that either.

I wrote a complaint letter, got my limit increase to £4250 is weLL!!!!!!!!

(I had spent £19000 on the account over the last year, always paying off full)!!

HAS ANY ONE SEEN THE NEW DESIGN BARCLAYCARDS?? with the new visa logos?????

I have a Barclaycard VISA with £350 limit and have this account for more than an year and half but everytime i try to change limit/reduce interest rate, they keep telling me that it is not possible at the moment, please try later.

I never missed a payment, pay twice or more a month + the minimum direct debit, haven't used my card since july...the balance is zero since last month...

how long have you held the card? What is your APR? Is this your first credit card?

I have the card since june 2005.......APR was 17.9%, last september it went up to 19.9%....it was my second credit card that time....
