I am just getting rid of my CPW Vodafone contract as it is costing me too much in relation to the very few calls (text almost zero) I make a month. I have started the ball rolling by asking for a PAC and now considering which PAYG provider I should go with when this easymobile website was advertised on my Yahoo this morning:
https://www.easymobile.com/
Obviously it is from Stelios with his no thrills package and excatly what I want but is it any good?

It's not very good at all. They charge you if you don't use the phone etc.
A better option is Tesco Mobile or Tesco Value Mobile. Here are two links, the first is to Tesco Value Mobile and shows the current offer of a reduced priced SIM card. The second link is to Tesco Mobile and it shows a comparison between their two tariff offering:
http://www.tescomobile.com/valuesim.aspx
http://www.tescomobile.com/tariff.aspx
On the Tesco Mobile tariff you can also nominate 3 numbers which you can access for 10p per minute. One of the 3 could be 18866/1899/1915's 02 access number, thereby allowing you to make all national calls at about 11p per minute. You would also be able to make cheaper mobile to mobile calls using this method, but it would only be advatageous to do this at the weekend.0 -
you could try CPW payg with a free nokis phone

also go through a cashback site like rpoints, hbuk, greasypalm, quidco etc to get a better deal
One-rate
Calls to other networks (per min) 15p
UK fixed line Peak (per min) 15p
UK fixed line Off Peak (per min) 15p
Fresh to Fresh calls (per min) 15p
Voicemail peak/off peak 10p
WAP* calls peak/off peak 15p
Directory Enquiries 60p
UK text message (SMS) 5p
International SMS per message 15p
International calls from the UK yes0 -

BE WARNED!!! I had an Easymobile SIM that I only ever used a few times early on last year. I'm now receiving calls from debt collection agencies to settle a balance of -£5 .....Easymobile??? more like Difficultmobile... they charge you £5 if you accidently go into a minus balance. In addition to charging you for inactivity they also want to charge you another £5 when you decide to close the account. So much for being a prepay company! They are waste of time and cause more problems than they are worth. Stick with one of the more reputable mobile operators or move to Tesco Mobile where the price is the same as Easy and you get much better service (plus your using the O2 network instead of T-Mobile).0

Thank you to everyone that replied. Your help is very appreciated and I have, on receipt of the lastest posting here, gone to Tesco.0

Just cancelled two accounts with Easymobile. Both had a balance of less than £5 so there is no charge made to account, however if your balance is over £5, they make a charge of £5 to cover transaction fees and refund your bank account with the remainder.
I actually found their service to be okay, but was treated to a contract phone, which meant I no longer had the need for easymobile.0 -
If you are ending your agreement with easyMobile just place a "0" instead of your bank account details on their online forms and they will not refund any credit and not charge you £5.00.0

I recommend people steer clear of Easymobile. They charge you to top up, and charge you if you don’t use the phone, there are cheaper and better deals out there. I tried to close my Easymobile account online, when I was just in credit, but there was a problem. I contacted customer services, but they ignore you long enough so you get hit with more charges while waiting for their reply.
They are far from easy.0 -
Avoid easymobile like the plague. There's just too many hidden charges and the free credit is no good when you try and cancel the service. They charge £5 to leave, if you have a negative balance you have to topup first which cost 25p and the minimum top up is £10.0

I have £20 credit (£10 my money £10 offer credit) if I close my account will I get £15?
A bit off topic but as there are people talking about leaving Easymob?Seth.0
