My house was burgled after I went on holiday leaving the front door open. The insurance company refused to compensate me.
I am writing back saying this is totally unacceptable.
Sorry this sounds harsh, but if you leave the front door open (or fail to check out someone who offers you a too-good-to-be-true investment) why should more careful householders pay increased premiums to compensate you?
How about this one - I get a knock on my front door and there is a man with a Transit van loaded up with tarmac parked up by the drive. We have some left over asphalt from a job up the road and we were wondering......oh hell......I'm getting bored typing this!!!!0 -
Hi Reaper,
There could possibly be a link to Cameron Farley Ltd, just a guess mind you but still digging.0 -
Hi Reaper, the digging is getting deeper and don't be suprised if you contributed to the compensation package. The FSA spin machine is about as good as that of the old Labour Party.
JCB's are now being brought in.0 -
Could be interesting Reaper.

Possibly a little bending of the truth maybe.0 -

I like your sense of humour Reaper, Farley a con man... that was way back in the 90's i believe since then he might have gone straight, anyway we will not go down that path again because at this moment in time he's not guilty of any criminal activity apart from accepting deposits without authorisation.
Regarding help...not looking for it...not here especially, just like to add a few conspiracy theories to brighten the day. Oh by the way you missed out the Banks and the missing £800k.0 -
Could someone else be chasing Farley Also, its possible Reaper.

"As with most press stories it does not give the full details. The process is not complete as yet with further amounts to be recovered from a third party.....far from being relaxed I've been pursuing this guy around the globe at my own expense and without ant assistance from the FSA. The whole episode has been a disaster but every effort is being made. The release (FSA.... my addition) also doesn't detail how the trading losses were incurred which will come out in due course once litigation is complete".
By the way we still have no idea how the trading losses occured. The FSA allegedly stated Farley made two trades, Grant Thornton published I think from memory 51 trades, the police still working at it and Gain Capital sitting pretty with $17.5m of our money in their coffers.
Funny old world Reaper but as the above statement states the detail may come out eventually.0 -
Morning Reaper,
Information has been flowing all through the night and so sorry to have to contradict you but there does appear to be a very significant link with the two companies and like I said sometimes what the Authorities post can be twisted a little.
By the way just on the subject of con men further names that are cropping up don't appear to be passing the "due dilligence test"0 -
Morning Reaper.
Just a little further U info to the tale Reaper, although I think the Trading Platform was FSA registered it appears the Fund Manager that held 6 figure sum’s under limited power of attorney wasn’t, in fact after “due diligence” was carried out (in days I might add) by a prospective client it was enough to put him off. Just a pity other parties…professional…. didn’t do the same although as you state they..clients... are much luckier than us in what they are getting back, although they will have to wait for some, because the FSA intervened early…wonder if there is any connection with Farley there or could it have been they finally did a bit of “due diligence” themselves. Either way good luck to the investors.
In our situation Reaper just think if the convictions of Farley had been known to others and not just the FSA and associates, just think of the money and suffering people could have saved and that doesn’t just go for Cameron Farley Ltd, but people who where possibly suckered in a second time with the same person’s.
We fight on Reaper I’ll keep in touch with further developments if allowed.0
