Oh yes, did the test on Wednesday, straight to GP who sent me straight up to the EPAS. Had a scan done to confirm the pregnancy and see where the coil was. Pregnancy is there but the coil is missing in action. I have no idea when it came out, but I think it could have been a year ago as my cycle changed since then (to a nice pleasant one).

Now I have to see my consultant to find out if it's actually safe for me to continue with the pregnancy, think I am going to go mad before then! Atleast I can concentrate on getting the house tidy.

    Congratulations :D

Scary to think a coil could go missing, wouldn't it hurt? Mind you the doc says to check it's still there at the end of each period so it must be possible to lose it without noticing.

CONGRATULATIONS, and yes it is very doable,
we have 3 girls and live in a 2 bed house, they are 21, 13 and 10, its a large room, which used to have storage cupboards in which we ripped out and it openend the whole room up.
Our eldest has her own space, room for bed, wardrobe, bookcase, bedside table, and her own tv/ dvd.
The youngest two used to have bunks, but have recently taken them down to two singles.
The trick is declutter regulary, and keep on top of the mess, mine know that if there is mess there is trouble lol.

    Congratulations!
I'm sure it's doable, we are expecting our 3rd child in the next few weeks and once we move it out of our room we plan to have all three children sharing. The older ones are 5 and 3 at the moment, we do have a spare room and another bedroom used as an office so could move them around but I just think it's good for them to share.
Good luck, hope the pregnancy goes well.

yes you can do it we have 4 children and 3 bed house

we gave the 3 boys the largest room and they have 1 bunk bed and 1 high sleeper with desk and wardrobe underneath so its more storage a built in wardrobe and 1 large chest of drawers for the 3 boys socks etc

they are 10,16 and 20 so they havnt got big toys in the room just consoles, books, dvds, etc but they have dvds on shelves so it doesnt clutter floor space

they have enough space in there to relax and they all sit up there together most evenings

We had a small 3 bed and 6 children when I was at home, Mum & Dad shared the box room, he put a sliding door on so they could get the double bed in but it was just about the size of the room. Girls had the bigger room as my youngest sister arrived before my younger brother, boys had second bedroom, not really big enough to call it a double to be honest. We had bunk beds and a single in each kids room although we could fit them all down in our room. Not much room for drawers and wardrobes but we didn't have many clothes ...

Hope everything goes well for you...

Big Congrats, we live is a small 2 bed with 5 of us (2 adults, 3 kids and another due in may) so far i've had 3 in one very small bedroom but getting them to sleep was a nightmare so we moved DD into the porch which is big enough for a single bed.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Slightly off topic but thought this might be a useful warning??!

Has anyone else noticed that lost.angry.confused (another thread on this forum) also fell pregnant whilst using the mirena coil??!!

Not a great advertisement for its effectiveness?

Hope both ladies have successful and happy outcomes to their situations and wish them all the best.

My friend had a 14year gap between her son and daughter and a 2 bedroomed house. She turned the small downstairs living room into a bedroom for the teenager and the dining room which was bigger as it went the whole width of the house became a living/diner until the family were in a position to move to a 3bed place.
