    I ordered the wardrobe on Sun (22nd Jan), had an order acknowledgement on Mon (23rd Jan), had money debited from my account on Wed (25th Jan) and finally credited back to my account on Thurs (26th Jan). Unfortunately out of stock so no bargain for me this time!!

    I really liked that too. Would have been perfect for the spare bedroom.

    When they cancel your order, do they have the courtesy to contact you and let you know or do you just wait forever until you realise that it's not going to turn up?

    They didnt contact me to say the order was cancelled, just credited my account.

    I did call up cust services and the lady said that they were preparing letters to send out to customers to say the manufacturer was out of stock and the Wrexham Wardrobe order would not be fulfilled.

    If like me, you'd ordered other itmes from the Wrexham range that you'd dont now want, I would recommend that you email / call to cancel the rest of the order as they wont assume you no longer want the other items.

    Hi, I posted this thread last week and I'm really sorry Debenhams are messing people about, I wouldn't have posted it if I thought you would all be messed about. I'm really REALLY sorry you can't get the wardrobes and I think a big company like Debenhams should have a much better system than they currently have. Apologies to you all ........ xxxx Lisa45

    Sadly this is a good example of the perils of ordering from Debenhams website.
    Apart from being mind numbingly slow,it lets you order stuff long after items are out of stock,going as far as to take payment for them.
    Last year it took me weeks to get my money back for items they did not supply.
    They really are a lottery ,with about the same odds as Camelot.

    I ordered on sunday my account has been debited.I have also spoken to Debenhams cs and they have confirmed my order.

    I too ordered on Sunday, account has been debited and customer service confirmed the order - so I am keeping my fingers crossed!!!

    Hey, no need to apologise for spotting a bargain and posting it!! As always with these things we all know (or at least should) that we take pot luck when we order. Some we win, some we don't. I didn't go for the wardrobe myself but got the mispriced bedstead from debenhams last month. I was however fully aware that the worst senario would be that they took the correct amount from my account meaning i would have to return it when it arrived. It's a risk we choose to take!!
    Some people see the glass half full, others see the glass half empty - the enlightened are simply grateful to have a glass :)
