    A solicitor employed yourself is going to cost an awful lot and may not be worth doing. A claims firm negotiates deals with lawyers so that is how a fixed fee is compiled.

    Agreements after april 2007 can be challenged, but the courts have a say in the outcome and in all likelyhood, they favour the lender 99% of the time UNLESS there is a major flaw with your agreement.

    but yes, get it checked by a pro.
