Morning Peeps!
Well this one has sunk a bit so thought I'd post to bump it up!
I still have one of my creditors chasing me by phone at least four times a day which is rather tiresome but my OR has just told me to ignore them now.
I had been answering the calls and repeatedly telling them that I'd been BR on 9th March at Norwich etc etc but they still maintained that I had to pay them money in the meantime!! Stupid call centres
Anyway, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for ED as both the Judge and the OR seemed to think I'd have a fairly good chance.
Hope everyone is still getting on ok after their BR in March

I know it's late in the day (being nearly end of April) but I wonder if I could join the March club? I went BR 18/3/09. I'm amazed at how much I've learnt on this forum and I thought once I'd been made BR I wouldn't return but I'm addicted and still learning, thanks to all the lovely contributors to the forum. J.0

Anymore updates from the March group???
I managed to find a private let, thank god, not told the OR yet, as still waiting to get my references finished, should not be an issue though! Best thing of all is rent will drop £320 per month and council tax in half not sure if I will get an IPA from the reduced amounts as since the bankruptcy we have not been paid some of our benefits and have struggled. The phone has finally stop ringing I now can answer my phone was again!
Never was in the paper not sure why? Has anyone been in the paper so far after the B day?
Struggling emotionally with having to tell the insurance people that I have gone bankrupt, seems they just want to turn you down rather than get the premium.
After all my family has been through in the last year with OH losing his job due to recession and collapse of the housing market, it just sticks in my throat that until the day I die, I always have to declare that I was once a 'bankrupt', criminals get a clean slate after 10 years why not us Bankrupts! We would have done our time why not let it go?????
Keep in Touch Everyone in March Club

Evening all,
Time for an update from me aswell...............
Well, after almost 7 weeks, the phonecalls have stopped, which is a blessing in itself as it became rather irritating with my mobile going off at least four times a day between 8am & 9pm. However, I have now acquired a CCJ from one of the collection companies representing the store card I had from a certain larger ladies clothing establishment. I just "reported" them to my OR and sent him all the correspondence so I shall check with him if it's all sorted at some point this week.
On a nicer note though, I too have found a place to rent (with my new boyfriend) and although it was through an agent, we will evetually deal with the landlords directly. They have been extremely understanding as I guess a bankrupt and a student who will be in receipt of housing benefit don't paint the prettiest of pictures
We move on Saturday and so I shall be without an internet connection for a bit but am hoping I can come back to my Ma's house to poach the laptop for a bit
I'm kind of looking forward to it but at the same time I'm getting stressed out over packing/unpacking etc
I have to keep positive as really, I've made the best out of a bad situation. Having my hours cut at work, the BR and meeting my boyfriend has turned my life around in the last four months and I'm really quite happy
Hope everyone is ok, let's hear what you've all been up to x x

hello all,
wot a lovely evening it is here in the north, hope it is everywhere else!
here is my update since bankruptcy on the 6th march, we had our or interview about 2 weeks after going to court, which was ok, i posted about that at the time.
we are still recieving letters from different debts, the halifax wrote to us saying they had seen our bankruptcy in the london gazette, but they have still sold it on as we are now getting the letters from a debt collecting agency!!
we also had a visit from the baliffs on monday, about our council tax debt, thankfully no-one was home, they pushed a letter through the door to say they would be calling again!!!
i let the OR office know about the visit and the stress it caused, they have been great, they contacted our council who said they were already aware that we were both bankrupt!! so why pass the debt on! the chap we dealt with advised the council to contact the baliff company and call them off, hopefully that is the end of the matter.
we have had a letter this week saying that the OR has no interest in our car and asking us about benefical interest in our house, but that will be getting repossessed within the next month or so.
i feel more positive now and the 2 months since we declared bankruptcy has passed so quickly, things are still a struggle, but at least we can now afford to buy food for our family of 6 without using credit.
i love this forum and it has been a lifeline for myself and my family for the last 6 months, i would never have gone bankrupt or sorted my life out if it wasnt for the support of you guys on here, it certainly isnt an easy road but you lot make it much more bearable
thanks again

Hi
Went BR on 26th march and have OR phone interview at 2 today.
Not coping very well!!!0 -
no mention of ipa. Will be auto discharged in 12 months. She wasn't impressed I used my cc for cash and laughed at me when she asked how I thought I could cope with all my debt. Not a good experience. Feel very upset.0
