Ooh 2 Under 2, know what that is like, my eldest was 14 months when ds2 arrived! DS1 is 3 in July and DS2 is now 1 1/2 yrs old.

Thank you Zandy! I will do the necessary stuff mostly as I know what it is like to be rushed off your feet with two little ones.

    Hi Everyone,
I can't believe it has been 1 month already as I was made Bankrupt on the 4th of March!

I only hope the next 11 months pass as quickly, I do know if I will be offered ED as I am self employed and think the examiner is holding out for some type of payment. Though I don't think we make enough over our SOA to warrant it. Right now we are only £33.

I just wish the phone would stop ringing! Not quite sure what to do there?,

We are still looking for a new let, hoping to find a Private Landlord in our area very wary of going to any agency as I live in a very rural area where everyone knows everyone else. Also strangely to date we have never seen the ad in local paper, have they stopped do this?

Thanks in advance for any replies??!!:)

    Good afternoon people!

Sorry I have not been around for some time but you all know how it is :D

I had been feeling good and very positive about my new start, that is until my new boyfriend and I have started to look around for a house to rent.

There never seems to be many private landlords round where we live so we have still been looking at agents. Now, we found a lovely little two bed house on rightmove within our price range, the landlords of which also stated that they would allow people on housing benefit (this is also v.rare where we live)

To cut a long, two week story short - we have had nothing but hassle. There has been hoop after hoop to jump through, agonising waits for phonecalls, snotty letting agents and of course....major issues with referencing.

The most recent thing is we are waiting to see if the referencing agency will provisionally say "yes" to us (despite the landlords actually being quite keen for us to move in anyway) as because of my BR, I am not being referenced so this means that they have to decide on whether my student boyfriend can pay the remainder that is not covered by housing benefit with my Mum/Stepdad acting as a guarantor. I was so angry and frustrated when we left the lettings agents, I burst out crying.

This has caused me so much bother and so many tears, I wonder whether it is worth it sometimes  It seems such a hopeless situation....."Hi there, we'd be really good tenants but we are a bankrupt and a student on housing benefit" - Not exactly model tenant material are we??:confused:

Anyhow, I really hope the rest of you are all ok and still feeling good about the decision to go BR

Hi Tiggypig, so sorry that you have been having problems trying to let somewhere. I hate letting agents too (had a couple of bad experiences with some!), if this couple who own it are happy for you to move in, then there shouldn't be these silly delays. I am sure the landlords will be keen because they will want the income instead of the property sitting empty whilst they still have to be paying a mortgage.

Best wishes for you and I hope it is all sorted out soon.

    Hi de Ho :D

It also came on the most cheapest off white paper I have seen since the days of my Grandad and the shiney toilet paper that used to do half your back as well as the affected area lol.gif
