That fella was an embarrassment to the whole of the male gender. I would have kicked her sorry ArZe into touch ages ago, she was hardly the 'catch of the day'. I could have understood it if she looked like Cheryl Cole, but she looked more like Bruce Forsyth.
What has happened to 'real' men these days, it was like he was been taken to school by his mum and being told off for being a naughty boy most of the time. Never mind who was wearing the trousers that guy was still in short pants.
If my wife hates the place then it is a sure indication to buy, I have bought 3 properties in recent times that she hated when I bought them, prior to being refurbed, and always ignored everything she says. When viewing a property the only thing that I'm interested in from the missues is her signature on the paperwork, a couple of glasses of wine sorts this out instantly. :money:
The above description of how you treat your wife makes you the male equivalent of the woman on TV.:D .....unacceptable, and cringeworthy, from either sex in a normal marriage imo.0 -

My wife knows less than zero about building and rennovations, when it comes to the buying of houses when they are in a state, and wouldn't know a ring main from a calor gas ring, etc, so I just have to get her to picture the end result, which again she can't. So she just has to trust my judgment, which is always right. :money:
The houses I tackle are wrecks, see the other thread where I posted a picture of one of my ceilings, which was none existant due to a water leak for an unknown period, house empty for ten years. So it is a little more difficult to picture the finished product I must admit.
I must admit though she is an excellent nagger when it comes to dealing with tradesmen, they can't wait to finish so as to avoid the ear-ache. :money:
Things she has expertise in I don't interfere with so it's a sensible approach, and has proved sucessful. Also it saves both TIME & MONEY.0 -

Although the format is the same as previous series. I am wondering which direction subsequent episodes will take.
Its worth remembering that Kirsty and Phil run a property business together. So their screen persona is different to that in the real world.
Last night the couple buying were allowed to be the stars of the show.
Although they've made money in the past trading houses. I can't wait to see the return to them later in the series as they appear to have overspent on that shack! So what's their completed property worth?0 -
IT LOOKED AT ABSOLUTE DUMP !! I thought they'd have knocked that down and started from scratch when they said they'd bought it. Could have ended up with a much better and valuable result, me thinks.0

I've got an idea for a show. 'First Time with Phil and Kirsty'. Popular TV presenters Phil Spencer and Kirsty Allsopp must spend a year living together in rented accommodation, earning an average UK salary.
With their famous on-screen 'chemistry', this should be reason enough to watch. But here's the exciting part - the couple must attempt to buy a small family home in a decent area, on their income and savings alone, without resorting to existing equity, handouts from parents or fraudulent loan applications...
Oh, wait a minute. That would have to a fictional production, obviously.'Never keep up with Joneses. Drag them down to your level. It's cheaper.' Quentin Crisp0 -
I like the show, no prob with the presenters...
But dont get me strarted on that stupid, horrible, self-centered, materialistic, up-herself bint that was on there buying a house last night. I felt sorry for her poor husband, he must be mad to be with her! Her personality was dam UGLY!Squish0
