Quick questions, is there 500pts still on JK files, and can you use the £2 S&G voucher on gift sets.

No the 500 points finished a couple of weeks ago and we have had no success using the £2 S and G vouchers for any sets or mini's which are 25p more expensive in store than they are on .com . The only thing you seem to be able to use these on is the full sized single units the cheapest is the hand wash at £4.20 Your best bet for points at the moment is the 100 points on shampoo or the 250 No7 vouchers if you have any that were in Christmas sets and the gold GWP

    Hiya,

Ah, well you have saved me a trip to E.K if no sachets. Looks like i am gonna be hitting the town in the hunt for sachets as nowhere in Lanarkshire does seem to have them.

Thanks for the info .I am in glasgow city center on thursdays and there was no pantene in the stores I went too.
They also had no Olay or l'oreal gwp .In fact I havent seen these in any of the stores I have visited.
They also had no s & g skincare which I really like. Sometimes glasgow branches arent that great. However im in Edinburgh on Friday so can visit princess street - will report back.
Hopefully the " sale" will be on by then:o

I popped over to Harlequin Centre in Watford yesterday afternoon, as I needed a break from the job I had been doing. (Good thing I work for OH.)

Firstly, I had a quick scout in New Look, and found some cute boots in tan, reduced from £40 to £10. Funnily enough, DD bought me the same thing in Borehamwood in black. There were quite a lot of good reductions on footwear there, btw.

Popped into Superdrug, and there was absolutely nothing of interest. Then went into Boots and looked at all the sale stuff. There was an awful lot there. I looked at the Trevor Sorbie hair sets, but thought why do I need to pay £3.75 for conditioner, shampoo and sg else, when dd has at least a year's supply of sunsilk (Tesco H&B) sitting in the garage. Same applied to the Mark Hill and CW stuff. I looked at all the other stuff, and thought, even at 75% do I really need or want it, and thought probably not. I might get a chocolate fondue set to give as a gift, but that is about all. I don't think the FCUK hat boxes are as nice as last year's Accessorize ones (mind you I still have 3 of those left from when they down to £2.50 after Valentines).

I may well go in on Wednesday morning for a mooch, before going to work, but am not convinced there will be anything sufficiently tempting, but I may be wrong.

Happy bootsing and bargain hunting to one and all.
  • I asked the guy stocking the toys shelves in the Metro Centre the other day when the 75% was gonna start...he grinned and said I couldnt possibly say...I laughed and told him I already knew coz i worked for Boots...I dont....and he said Oh well you'll know its next Wed then? He also said that they had an onsite stock room full of stock, but just tons more of what they already have on the shelves..nothing different.
  • If you buy a something for say £4.50, what are the cheapest things to buy in order to reach the magical £5 please and get a Blinkie?

I know someone said you can get Paracetomol for 10p, but is there a list somewhere please, that shows the cheapest things, we're all likely to use ?

    xx

Off the top of my head, some of things I buy to make up a purchase of £5 or more are:

Boots Basics cotton wool pads (89p for 100 I think?)
Boots own cotton buds (around 79p? Not sure now, will be getting some later though so will report back)
Boots Men's Essentials shaving gel at 99p - I use this everyday when doing my legs and I think it's great - it lasts longer than a lot of the women's ones I've tried (including Boots and supermarkets' own) and it doesn't dry my legs out
Boots Essentials face wipes - often on offer at 99p a pack or 241 at normal price of £2.29
Boots toothpaste if it's on offer (e.g 342)

I'm sure others will come up with much cheaper stuff, but this is what I like to do as it's stuff I use and is a good price - no point in buying something because it's dead cheap just to get your total up to the magic £5 if you're not going to use it/it's rubbish :D

I have been on holiday and just spent ages trying to catch up... Does anyone know if it is worth fighting my way into the Trafford Centre today for reduced No7 stuff? Or don't they have v much?
  • Anyone know when they stop giving out Blinkies. Bought 2 meal deals yesterday and didnt get one!

Also have they stopped doing buy 5 meal deals and get the 6 one free.
Thanks, havent been bootsing in a while.
  • Today I realised that I have got hooked by this site and instead of getting my shower and getting me and twin 2 (currently enjoying a break from her sister and quietly watching lazy town with Mr blanky in jarmies ) ready to go and pick twin one up from ballet in an hour, as I should be doing I have been on . com looking to see what changes have happened over night in the half price stuff.

More added for sure:beer:, they seem to update if every night presumably as they do stock counts, and if they are doing that it can not be long till the sale starts. I think they are doing a Next and holding out as long as they can on line in the hope that we will part with more money. I have been to my boots at Speke retail park twice this week and it has been quite empty compared with last week so we are all obviously keeping a post christmas check on our cash and looking for a very good bargain or its staying in our pockets. I know I am taking a lot more care at the moment I have to, like lots of us its just me and the girls, and this site has been a godsend helping me make my money go further and its fun, I enjoy catching up on the day its like a virtual family. I can not see them starting the sale on line over the weekend so my guess would be Monday if they are going to start it before the store.

When I was in Speke yesterday they had got some more stuff in and were re-arranging it but had half the space empty and it has been for a week now so they are either going to get more in or change the display. They also have an amazing display of wrapping paper and crackers. Not many bargains but some reduced No7 creams for your blinkies and some sale sets

Will echo someone else's comments and if you get the chance today go to an M and S today. I got 2 pairs of lovely per una shoes yesterday reduced from £39.99 to £2. There seemed to be lots of baby stuff not much for my 5 year olds but if you are a size 22 or a size 8 take a trolly (as just about everyone in the queue in front of me seemed to have done, naturally all the tills but 2 were broken - its just one of those rules of life) :o

I am getting so hooked to this site, was going to go into town today to get sonme Pantene stuff, but my darling son has come down with a sky high temperature and looks absolutely dreadful he is only 5. So no bootsing for me. Was desperatly after the OLAY GWP as well. My other half is taking our son to football so I cant get out. Hope everyone gets all the bargains and I cant wait for the 75% sale. :j
